I want to start by expressing I had a great experience during my mammogram and ultrasound at the Featherwood location. I unfortunately had to return for biopsies due to their findings and concerns. During this procedure I was treated very kindly and everyone was respectful and comforting of my anxiety. The waiting for results however has been disappointing. I understand these things take time and accuracy is important. If I had been told up front it could take 2 weeks I could have better prepare myself for the wait. I was told it would be 2 to 3 days by two different technicians. The doctor did say 3 to 5 business days. I have now been waiting 10 days. To some this may not seem long but to me under the circumstances of what I am waiting on it is stressful. After reaching out to my doctor several times I finally called The Rose today ( Thursday ) to be told call the end of next week due to Monday being a holiday. So needless to say at this point yes I am upset and disappointed. I do not feel this is good business practice due to the nature of the information I am waiting to receive. If a representative would like to contact me I would be happy to speak with someone.
Thank you,
Deborah Heinsohn
The doctors and nurses at The Rose are wonderful and patient but the customer service at The Rose is horrible. I was inquiring about the sponsorship program that they offer since I was not informed how much I would have to pay until less than 48 hours before my appointments. Helda, the Sponsorship Coordinator called me back about the sponsorship who was 1. speaking to other people in the background, (which is very rude when someone is trying to get information about something as serious as a biopsy). 2. Yelling at me over the phone with broken english and reading over all of my patient details and notes which sound like she was in a room full of people. 3. She basically told me she could not help me because, "you have insurance and the program is for people who don't have insurance and cannot afford it." i asked if if there is any way since I have not been seen for my appointment could I possibly not claim this on my insurance because I cannot afford this procedure. The Rose is supposed to be this great place where people can go and receive great treatment but they seem to care more about politics than patients. Everyone who needs help should receive it but don't forgot about the women who do go to work everyday and try to make ends meet. Unfortunate situations happen unexpected medical bills are one of them. Don't cater to women who don't have insurance who probably shouldn't be in this country anyway and get almost everything for free and women who work can not get any help when needed.
I had a great experience at The Rose. The staff was very caring and gentle. The doctor was amazing! I also loved the fact that my mammogram helped them serve other women in my community who did not have insurance or the ability to pay.
The Rose sees and serves both insured and uninsured women, those who can pay, those who have difficulty paying and those who cannot pay for their exams with the same level of dignity, care and professionalism. This quality I believe sets it apart. The facilities are not only impeccable but pretty, the staff is committed to the mission and they provide the opportunity for paying clients to partner in supporting and empowering those less able.
The Rose is a very soothing, comfortable atmosphere for mammography and screening services. In addition, the people are professional, courteous and kind. I've been to several places in Houston through the years, and the Rose easily made the experience the best it could be. In addition, where else can you go to get something you are going to do anyway...and benefit someone else just by doing it! It's a fantastic concept, and I've sent as many people as I can over.
I learned about The Rose at a time in my life when I had no work, no money and no insurance. I was just a single mother trying to support my daughter and myself by doing real estate deals that were turning bad quickly. After a simple mammogram, which I had postponed until I could find a free screening service, I was informed that I needed further testing before it was too late. Not what I wanted to hear, but there was hope. The nurse who had contacted me told me there was a group, The Rose, that would work with my salary (or lack thereof) and my insurance (or lack thereof) to get me further testing. I was able to get enlarged films of the area in question at a reduced rate. Once the radiologist looked over the films he gently urged me to have a biopsy. Again not what I wanted to hear, but The Rose helped me out by scheduling me with one of their doctors who performed the biopsy. The biopsy revealed that I had two forms of cancer: one slow growing and the other very aggressive. If it had not been enough that The Rose provided me with medical services that I could not afford, the doctor blessed me by removing all of the more aggressive cancer from my body during the biopsy. Because of The Rose, I was able to seek out treatment for breast cancer that probably would have left my one and only daughter, who was 6 years old at the time, without her mother. I wish I could say The Rose did this all just for me, but it is what they do for all women, no matter what their background or ability to pay. Please help me in supporting The Rose so that more women can get early detection for breast cancer and live.
The Rose is a first class organization as exemplied by the recent award presented to the Rose by the Better Business Bureau! This is an Over the Top organizaiton with excellent leadership, staff and doctors. I am also a patient at The Rose and have received superior professional service when I have had my appointment there. They also do a first class job of out-reach to the public through their mobile units and through their participation in community health fairs.
The Rose is the only breast healthcare organization, for-profit or non-profit, that I will ever choose to provide me with any/all my breast healthcare needs. The mammograms taken at The Rose are considered to be of the highest quality; the diagnostics performed efficiently and professionally by physicians who specialize in breast diagnostics/disease. I trust the staff of The Rose and know they are dedicated, caring people. "Something" in my breast was seen the day of my annual mammogram. When Dr. Melillo told me she would like to have an ultrasound performed, I felt a little unsettled. Dr. Melillo reviewed the ultrasound (on the same day) and told me everything was fine -- no problems. SAME DAY results...unique. Anyone who has ever waited for a ultrasound results know how anxious one can be. SAME DAY results makes a tremendous difference to those of us who have waiting! ! I am not only a patient of The Rose, but also am a proud supporter and believer in the work this organization performs for the insured and uninsured. In my opinion, there is no better!
As both a client and donor, I have only great things to say about The Rose. As aclient, I've always been told that my insured mammogram helped those without insurance. I have personally referred someone without insurance when she found a lump in her breast; she was seen and treated almost immediately. My company will continue to financially support this organization.
I am so thankful to have a place to go for my mammogram as a young woman. when I found an area of concern at the age of 29, I was glad to know that The Rose has a Young Women's Clinic serving those uder the age of 35. The staff is friendly, experienced and truly care about your breast health. I feel good knowing that my insured mammogram helped a woman without insurance. The Rose is AMAZING... saving lives every single day.
My experience over sever years going for yearly screening check at the Rose Clinic up has been a great awaking on for the need and care given to prevent cancer. The Rose is one of the best I have ever experienced Thanks to to all the worker and professional people at the Pasadena, TX ROSE.
The Rose really provides something you don't find often--people who care and treat you like an individual. I had had an inconclusive mammogram and had to repeat the screening, with possibly more tests required. The Rose repeated the mammography and Dr. Parsons read it immediately and determined I needed no further testing. In other words they didn't conduct unnecessary screening, even on an insured patient, as well as respected my time and concern and provided me with a complete review.
