Review for The Rose, Houston, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As both a client and donor, I have only great things to say about The Rose. As aclient, I've always been told that my insured mammogram helped those without insurance. I have personally referred someone without insurance when she found a lump in her breast; she was seen and treated almost immediately. My company will continue to financially support this organization.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my own community. After UTMB closed in Galveston after Hurricane Ike, The Rose stepped up to the plate to help serve that community as well. Apparently The Rose turns no one away -- what a blessing!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

communication. The Rose continually informs donors and clients through their monthly newsletter and e-mails. A special "thank you" to the staff for an on-going job well done!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

real people just like me. I have observed many volunteers and fundraising events that are there

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

continue to help eradicate breast cancer through early screening and detection. It comforts me to know that in these difficult financial times if I no longer had insurance, The Rose would see that I was treated if needed.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Client Served & Also a donor.
