Mission: To provide financial assistance to u. S. Airways employees who face critical or life-threatening illness or injury or who have experienced a major life-altering event and who meet needs-based criteria.
Programs: In 2014 we financially assisted 64 applicants who faced critical or life threatening illness/injury or catastrophic events. Grants provided to these applicants also were beneficial in providing assistance to their families spouse/partner/children. Financial assistance was paid directly to the applicants creditors to ensure donor contributions were used appropriately and paid towards life-sustaining bills i. E. Mortgage, rent, utilities, food, etc. . We also directed applicants to other resources to help stretch their dollars which allowed them to focus on getting well.
