This is a WONDERFUL organization for autistic individuals of ALL ages! My older brother Michael is now 66 and couldn't talk until he was 8. My family moved him to Arizona from Texas in 2016 where he had lived in supervised condo/apartment/group home for 30 years. Michael has worked his whole life and currently has a part time job and rides the lite rail/bus system on his own. Sadly, because he has worked his whole life we have been unable to get him DDD services here in Arizona. When Michael came out here he didn't have much of a social life and missed all of his friends. We've attended their Halloween parties, Mardi Gras party, Valentine's Day party and many other events. The staff are all very friendly and are always happy to see Michael and are very friendly to me as well!! Thanks for all that your great organization does!!! Michael always looks forward to the events. Michael is always excited about his birthday and thanks to your organization for mailing him a birthday card and gift card two years in a row!!
This organization has been nothing short of amazing, providing so many valuable resources, classes, and events for the autism community. The staff is always so helpful, kind, and professional, making every interaction a pleasant one.
My kids absolutely love attending the fun and safe events they organize throughout the valley. We never miss one because they’ve created such a welcoming and inclusive environment.
More than just events, they do an incredible job of keeping our community connected and never stop advocating for us. It truly feels like home every time we see the staff at an event.
Thank you for all that you do – your dedication makes a world of difference!
The Autism Society has been so helpful for our family. I participated in the Autism 101 course you presented this week. It was fantastic by the way! I've spent quite a bit of time browsing the website, which is also fantastic. Very easy to navigate.
The resources that have been shared and the events have been so useful to my family. We have been able to connect with the resources available and also connect with other families in our community. We are grateful for the work that you do.
ASGP has a goldmine of resources for families and people with autism. We reside in a smaller city in Arizona and the information, activities and resources are not as robust. When I attended the Autism Conference by ASGP remotely, I learned more about autism and the resources I should seek out than I had in all my years of trying on my own. A blessing to families looking for information and not finding much in other parts of Arizona—especially the online webinars, conferences and other content.
Two of my kids are diagnosed with autism. The autism Society of Greater Phoenix has been extremely helpful.

It's goal of building a common community and helping those who feel completely overwhelmed or lost is such an amazing gift.

Autism Society is a great organization that advocates for improved systems of care, provides great information and resources, and provides a variety of social opportunities for all ages and stages of development. Our work with law enforcement, crisis improvement and systems of care is improving lives. We have worked on legislation each year to improve our systems.

Autism Society of Greater Phoenix is a wonderful resource. Our family uses their website frequently to find providers. The website is very easy to navigate.
We have attended their support groups and some of their events. We are very thankful for their Sensative Santa. This allows us to get family pictures with Santa, which is something we would not be able to do without the Sensative Santa event.

Fourteen years ago I came looking for information to assist and support my niece and her son (my great nephew) who was beginning kindergarten in Arizona after living in Texas. My niece and her husband were very apprehensive about the options available but also at the same time coming to the acceptance of having their son newly diagnosed as being on the spectrum. They were needing support, encouragement, and to be surrounded by others who understood. I found all of the support, encouragement and the embracing of others through the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. Even though I had been in education teaching those on the spectrum and others with learning concerns, I was only familiar with the resources and supports which my school, district and the surrounding school community could offer. Once I expanded my research to find supports beyond the district and age appropriate for my great nephew and his family, I found it all within the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. What a blessing this was for my niece and her son because it gave her confidence and support to feel she would be able to handle the future! Due to this interaction, I was inspired to continue learning and growing through the Autism Society and I became a volunteer. My role since that time has grown from just being a volunteer to being a committee chair for events, facilitating groups, and currently I am both on the board and executive board for the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix. The organization and the people within it and the families who come seeking support, assistance and encouragement are so inspiring one can't help but being inspired also.

As the parent of an adult with Autism and a volunteer, I truly appreciate all of the different opportunities available to help my son socialize with others, get out into the community, learn about resources available, etc. As a parent, I, too, learn so much. I like that the website for the ASGP is a wealth of information and that the leaders are always willing to assist when questions arise. The ASGP is a wonderful asset to the greater Phoenix area! I can see, first hand, from my volunteering experiences, that this is a much needed non-profit that serves so many families, children, teens, and adults!

The Autism Society of Greater Phoenix is a fantastic resource full of incredibly caring people. They have several support groups, offering in-person & virtual support wherever you live in the Valley. Events for Moms, events for Dads, events for Kids ... they've got it all, and it's helping Arizona be the most inclusive state in the country.

I volunteered for over 20 years as president of ASGP. I am very proud of the many ways in which ASGP has impacted the lives of people with autism and their families by providing information, education, support, and advocacy. Services have included annual conference, many monthly meetings, newsletter, listserves, Autism 101 class, Be Safe class, and legislative advocacy.
