Mission: The florida center provides prevention and early intervention services to young children and their families at risk for academic, social, and economic failure. Because of this, our young children achieve developmentally appropriate milestones and parents have the support and knowledge to nurture their child's development; thus decreasing risk factors related to child abuse and neglect, academic and developmental delay, and behavioral and mental health disorders that create added costs to society. My children attend pre-school at The Florida Center. Both of my children participate in a social skills group and my son receives occupational therapy. The staff are so great at what they do! I am so blessed to have found such a wonderful place for my children to receive services!
My youngest son attended The Florida Center's early child education classrooms and received OT and Speech from The Florida Center starting at the age of 17 months. Thanks to the very skilled and caring staff of The Florida Center, my son (who was officially diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4) continues to be mainstreamed with his typical developing peers. My son is now 7 and a half and has a very bright future ahead of him ... in large part due to the excellent intervention services he received when he was a toddler and preschooler at The Florida Center.
