Mission: The chicagoland eye and retina foundation (cerf) will provide continuing education and continuing medical education regarding current trends and upcoming research in the fields of medical and surgical eye and retina problems and conditions. The goal of the cerf is to educate the public about current trends and upcoming research in the fields of medical and surgical eye and retina problems and conditions. The cerf will conduct and provide support for research in the fields of medical and surgical eye and retina problems and conditions. As well as, provide support for charitable and missionary work related to eye care in disadvantaged communities globally and raise funds from the public and from all other sources available, receive and maintain such funds and expend principal and income there from.
Programs: The chicagoland eye and retina foundation (cerf) strives to provide educational activities in the area of eye care benefiting healthcare providers, patients, plus those interested in improving their overall eye health. Our activities are also accredited to provide cme for physicians plus ce for optometrists.
the cerf will conduct and provide support for research in the fields of medical and surgical eye and retina problems and conditions. Research will be focused on the areas of clinical research in the fields of retina, glaucoma, uveitis and eye inflammations, cornea and cataract problems to help find treatments for most common causes of blindness in both first and developing world countries and populations
