Mission: Enrich our community by creating the highest quality operatic and theatrical programming that re-imagines the classics and introduces new works; expands and engages our audience; and stimulates critical conversations.
Programs: Opera performances - live performances of four large scale productions at the cobb energy centre with a total attendance of approximately 28,000.
community engagement and education performances - studio tour brings live performances and workshops into schools to grades k-12; student short series brings fully-staged, abbreviated versions of the mainstage productions for grades 6-12. These programs serve a combined 17,000 children at 75 educational institutions.
discoveries series - live performances dedicated to our audience members who are looking for new work, new ideas, and fresh perspectives. Serving approximately 1,300 patrons annually, the series is performed at a smaller, urban venues that are easily accessible via mass transit.
