Over the past 2 years, Pianos for Peace has donated 22 instruments to elementary, middle, and high schools across Atlanta Public Schools, which has impacted nearly 19,000 students. Not only has Pianos for Peace brought the gift of music to our students, but have also provided a blank canvas for our visual art students to create their own masterpieces. In addition, Pianos for Peace Founder and CEO Malek Jandali continually strives to provide programming opportunities for our students. This past year, he was featured on the Grady High School Orchestra concert, where he worked with talented and hard-working students to provide an opportunity to perform with a world-renowned composer and pianist. Over the course of the next year, at least 30 additional pianos will be distributed throughout the district, which will impact the arts education of an additional 20,000 students. Furthermore, Mr. Jandali will provide more programming to our underserved and special needs students. The organization is vital to the community and the children of Atlanta.

I still remember the first time I was in downtown ATL and saw a beautiful piano, just out there on the sidewalk. It was the coolest thing. People would just stop and play a few notes, others would sit and perform a whole piece, and other times a group would get together with singers, other instruments for a jam session. It brought life and music to parts of town where you would not expect to encounter them.

Then I learned that Pianos for Peace is the organization behind all these colorful pianos all over town. Their mission is amazing, and the support they give to schools in low income areas is really special. This year I had the good luck of attending their festival closing ceremony, which was held at the King Center. They had a phenomenal band, people were just dancing and coming together in love and peace. It was beautiful. They gave Dr. Bernice King an award. It was a perfect union of Dr. King's message of love and unity, with Pianos for Peace's mission of using the arts and music as a tool for peace.

I learned from the MC that they have donated more than 500 pianos since their inception! That's amazing, and I am very proud to support this wonderful organization.

I happened to be in the airport the day that Pianos for Peace had their closing ceremony there. WOW! Those kids are so talented - they sang their hearts out. It was so awesome that SO MANY travelers just stopped to listen and sing with them. I almost missed my flight! I found out later that those pianos are donated to schools, and that blew me away. What an amazing concept - Pianos for Peace is really invaluable to the community.

Pianos for Peace does such an amazing job in the Metro Atlanta Community by supporting and promoting the importance of Music Education. Our music school (Music from the Heart Fine Arts), has greatly benefited through the generous donations of Pianos for Peace. Not only were we deeply fortunate to receive the piano displayed in the atrium of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, but this organization constantly gives many aspiring musicians a strong platform to perform. We strongly support the mission at Pianos for Peace!

It always brightens my day when I’m around town and I see a beautifully painted Pianos for Peace piano in a public place. And when someone sits down to play some music, it warms my heart! I really wish the city of Atlanta and the state Georgia would put a higher priority on funding the arts and promoting wonderful organizations like Pianos for Peace! Music brings people together. And we need to unity now more than ever.

I have had the pleasure of working with Pianos for Peace for a couple of years now. The staff are accommodating and very professional in their day-to-day operation. When we couldn't initially make our schedules work they went above and beyond to find a way for our kiddos to have an opportunity to have music therapy in our area. They not only awarded us a beautiful painted piano but have been actively seeking a professional therapist for us to facilitate a monthly session on our side of town! On behalf of Brenan Towers Nursing Home we are beyond thankful to have their support in our community and for our elderly residents.

The information I received, the resources I have had available, and the support for my efforts in teaching music under the sponsorship of Pianos for Peace has been invaluable. Without this, the school at which I volunteer would not have a music program for the younger students.

Pianos for Peace is one of the best non-profits that effectively and efficiently puts music education into schools. The organization is led by dedicated staff and volunteers that feel passionate about the importance of having music as a part of the school curriculum, especially in under-resourced communities. THANK YOU!

Pianos for Peace is doing so much good work in the community! It was so cool to see a piano just in the middle of downtown, and people were stopping to play and sing. I even saw several homeless people play on the pianos, and passersby were leaving them tips!! That was just the best thing. I hope this organization continues doing what they do, and putting pianos all over town.

What a special treat it was to go to the town square in Woodstock, VT, and see this beautiful piano! I had not heard of Pianos for Peace before, so I looked them up and was super impressed with what they do. They had a fantastic concert in the square that was free, open to the public, and included local student musicians. It was so much fun, but the best part was that the piano was then donated to a local school! How wonderful is that? What a great organization - I will continue to support them in the future.

I have been involved with Pianos for Peace since it was a vision of the founder, Malek Jandali. From there, it has grown into a movement with the audacious goal of changing the world through music. Every year in September when beautifully-decorated pianos fill public spaces throughout the city of Atlanta, culminating with a concert at the world's busiest airport, it stirs the soul and confirms the power of music and the human imagination.

I own a private preschool - Little Creek Academy in Johns Creek, GA and was given a unique opportunity to donate a piano through Pianos for Peace. It was such a wonderful teaching tool for all my classes. Not only did it teach them to all work together to accomplish a common goal but it also showed them how wonderful it feels to do a good deed for someone else. My class took a field trip to a local elementary school for our donation. They loved seeing the classroom where the piano would find its forever home. It was a very rewarding experience and I would recommend any organization to participate.

We had the good fortune to collaborate with Pianos for Peace to run a special "Peace through Music" program in Oregon last year. Malek Jandali and the Pianos for Peace organization were wonderful to work with, and our community was deeply touched by the pianos, the lectures, and the concerts.

Pianos for Peace is one of my very favorite nonprofit organizations to partner with Sharon Forks Library. Having a donated piano for our local high school National Art Honor Society students paint and present to the community to play brings many people together for a common purpose to promote peace. We have partnered with Pianos for Peace the last two years and the enthusiasm from people playing the piano and attending the musical performances is fantastic!
