The Gift of Music is outstanding. Not only did they supply my band students with a multitude of instruments, but they often follow up with my students' progress. I , as well as my students, am most grateful for non-profits such a this!
I began working with Gift of Music last year after never having heard of them. They were a hidden gem working as a business with the heart of a charity, NOT relying on fundraising & grants. The main is to take donated instruments, clean & repair them if possible, then get them to people who can't afford them for band or orchestra. We also have full-price rentals & purchases. We have moved into a 12,000s.f. facility near the Marietta Square with a RETAIL MUSIC STORE, INSTRUMENT REPAIR SHOP, offices, warehouse space, and more. We are now expanding our Access to Music Education Programs to include not only band/chorus/orchestra ensembles, but also classes and performances for little to no cost to people who can benefit from them, such as elderly, Veterans, people with special needs, young children, and more. Join us to perform or teach in a community, volunteer at our facility, raise funds, or just spread the word to help us have an even larger impact.
Wonderful organization that provides instruments for kids that might otherwise not have them in school music programs. Also sells, rents, and repairs at reasonable costs.

The Gift of Music is making a positive difference in the lives of many young children living in the greater Metro Atlanta area. I hope that soon they can take their business model and expand it to other cities and neighborhoods.

I wanted to do something special for my neighbor son who passed away. He had a great love of music. He was a self taught pianist and guitar player. I connected with the gift of music to raise money to buy instrument for someone who was in able to afford their own. They are awesome and we raised more than I expected.

They do a great job for the local community. They actively look for opportunities to make music "affordable" for the inner city youth of the Atlanta area.
I applied to Gift of Music for instruments for a nonprofit for which I write grants. Chris Monroe was very accommodating and wonderful to work with. He helped us get some amazing instruments and I know I have made a friend for life. MUSIC MATTERS.
I go to a rural mountain area of Jamaica to teach music literacy and instruments with a team of other musicians. We decided to start teaching clarinet in August, 2017, and I contacted The Gift of Music Foundation about obtaining an instrument with which to teach. We were sent a beautiful clarinet in a good hard case, ready to pack in our suitcase, take down and use to teach. We are very grateful for The Gift of Music Foundation entrusting us with an instrument to use in our efforts to improve and expand music education in Jamaica where resources are so very limited.

The Gift Of Music Foundation has been a true windfall for our school and for our students. Many of our students could not afford to participate in the band and strings program because their parents did not have funds for instruments. Thus, we only had a few students who participated. This year, because we had donations of instruments, our band and strings program has really grown. Thank you to The Gift of Music Foundation for the instruments and for giving the wonderful "Gift of Music" to our students!
This foundation far exceeded my expectations. They helped me transform my school music program from two or three students to 15! It's wonderful working with this dedicated group.
We were in desperate need of trombones for two students who had already enrolled in band, and tested well as potential trombone players. We put out a request on our PTO Facebook page, and someone suggested I check with The Gift of Music. One email, one phone call and two weeks later, my two students had great refurbished instruments in their hands! What a great organization that not only provided for our instrument needs, but is interested in continuing our relationship in the coming future! Thank you Gift of Music!
