Mission: The arc baltimore provides advocacy and high quality, life-changing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Programs: The arc baltimore's community employment division provides job development services to individuals who are underemployed or unemployed, and seeks to secure and maintain a good employment fit between employer and supported employee. Our division also provides intensive to fading job coaching supports, (based upon the individual's support needs) to more than 500 supported workers with jobs at baltimore companies. These employees are both independently placed as well as in supervised crews, working in areas such as janitorial and landscape, food services, and clerical. In addition, our seven day/employment centers provide over 500 people with opportunities for growth and community integration through a combination of work, volunteer and leisure opportunities within their respective communities.
our community living division supports adults to live in homes and communities of their own choosing through a continuum of community-based services that maximizes growth and independence. The individuals are contributing and engaged members of their neighborhood. 273 adults are served in 173 homes or apartments of their choosing.
our outreach and family services division supports over 5000 children and adults and their families through treatment foster care, respite care, in-home family supports and training, parent training programs, seminars & support groups, recreational and summer camp opportunities, special education advocacy and an information and referral hotline.
