Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Education, Engineering & Technology, Physical & Earth Sciences, Technology

Mission: Founded in September 2007 as a corporate nonprofit foundation of Microgravity Enterprises, Inc., the ACCESS for Education Foundation strives to educate and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers by providing outreach and education opportunities focused on space research and development. Under the ACCESS Foundation?s flagship program, called the ACCESS for Education Program, Microgravity Enterprises, Inc. is donating payload space, free of charge, on every one of its commercial launches for the purpose of flying student developed payloads to space. The program includes a full spectrum of payloads from K-12 inspirational payloads through state of the art research payloads developed by U.S. Universities. Under the ACCESS Program, in addition to our strong education focus, we are integrating a space commercialization focus, which we see as key to the future of mankind?s activities in space. We seek to involve the tremendous talent and creative spirit in the nation's schools and universities to help make commercial space a reality.
