Mission: The Mission of Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation is to overcome prejudice, intolerance, and bigotry - and the suffering they cause - through the educational use of the Foundation's visual history testimonies. The Shoah Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, was established in 1994 to videotape and preserve the testimonies of Holocaust survivors and other witnesses so that future generations can learn from the past. The Foundation has collected more nearly 52,000 eyewitness testimonies in 56 countries and 32 languages, and is committed to the broad and effective educational use of the archive worldwide. The Foundation's objectives include: preserving the digital archive; indexing for access; developing educational partnerships; producing educational products and programs.
