The Sluggers program under 14u is terrible. They have no room to give advice on coaching since most of thier players don't return for a second season in that age group. A whole 4 kids returned to play 12u 2 of which are the coaches kids. 1 of the parents told me that they wished they had not returned. The owner is about the money not about player development. Not to mention if you have a little more melatonin you are treated poorly. I highly suggest finding another travel baseball team there are many others in the area that do not yell at and degrade the young players. This year was so bad in 12u that a coach had to be removed from the dugout for being nasty to the players. Instead of removing his as a coach they moved him to 1st base coach. This is standard practice with The Summit City Sluggers.
