Mission: Step up on second delivers compassionate support to people experiencing serious mental health issues, and persons who are experiencing chronic homelessness, to help them recover, stabilize, and integrate into the community. Through dynamic partnerships, we provide positive social and learning environments, vocational training, permanent supportive housing opportunities, and recovery services to empower individuals to cultivate lives of hope and dignity. We exercise innovative leadership and advocacy to increase public understanding, support, and acceptance of all people living with serious mental health issues.
Programs: Mental health and case managementcomprehensive wraparound support services & programs providing services to 1,900 individuals leading to relapse prevention, self-sufficiency, and recovery for individuals (ages 18-65) affected by mental illness. Step up on second provides outpatient medication support, comprehensive psycho-social rehabilitation programs, services, and assistance including: - mental health and medication supports - both in clinic and field based services - case management and linkage to housing and health services - life skills coaching, socialization, meals, homeless advocacy, outreach and housing stabilization - homeless veterans focused services outreach, mental health, housing placement and support
real estate rental operationsassists individuals in moving from the street into permanent supportive housing . Step up on second placed 218 chronically homeless individuals in permanent supportive housing the past year as of june 30, 2017, step up owned and operated properties in both santa monica and hollywood with a total of 300 single units.
