Mission: St. Vincent jennings hospital is dedicated to providing spiritually-centered, holistic healthcare that sustains and improves the health of those served, with special attention to the poor and vulnerable. Both inpatient and outpatient health services are provided without regard to patient race, creed, national origin, economic status, insurance status or ability to pay. This mission extends well beyond the provision of core medical services to encompass medical and scientific research programs, the training and educating of health care professionals and active support of community-based partnerships and programs to improve health and quality of life.
Programs: St. Vincent jennings hospital (svjh) is a 25-bed, critical access hospital serving rural jennings and contiguous counties and providing services without regard to patient race, creed, national origin, economic status, or ability to pay. Svjh provides inpatient and outpatient health care services with a 24 hour emergency department that is staffed with an on-site physician. During fiscal year 2017, svjh treated 252 adults and children for a total of 895 patient days of service. The hospital also provided services for 34,158 outpatient visits, including 490 outpatient surgeries and 10,989 emergency room visits. St. Vincent jennings hospital provides the following hospital services: cardiovascular services, emergency care, immediate care, medical imaging, outpatients services, rehabilitation services and surgery. Some of these services operate at a loss in order to ensure that comprehensive services are available to the community.
