Mission: The organization exists to share the love of god with the people of laos, and to pursue and establish relationships within laos. Cooperation with the lao goverment helps to develop economic, educational and social objectives.
Programs: Other projects: these funds are used for emergency medical help, hospital bills, food and housing for people in need, and disaster relief for villages.
doctors' training: funds are being raised to develop training program for laotian doctors to help in rural areas of laos.
community development: acting as a good samaritan, seafm works to maintain good relationships between church leaders, local government and people in the community. Community development, water wells, agricultural tools and small clinics help to establish these relationships. The organization assisted in building 11 new church buildings with other organizations and community affiliations.
leadership development/pastor sponsorship: this program is designed to train new leaders to become better leaders in serving christ in laos. Through this program, pastors are able to attend training and have their personal expenses covered during this time. They are then able to return to their own towns and villages to start home churches. Seafm also helps these new churches with bibles and hymnals. There are currently 11 pastors serving because of assistance from seafm. During 2011, seventy-five new leaders have been fully trained as new church leaders.
medical project: the implementation of this project is through the distribution of much needed medical supplies throughout 11 provincial hospitals, 8 central hospitals, 25 district hospitals and 15 clinics within laos. Funding is also provided for children from poor families for needed operations. Workshops are also provided to women regarding health issues especially cancer.
orphanage schools: seafm sponsors two schools in the south of laos; in the khammouane and champasak provinces. This project helps orphan children to have clean water, food, shelter, school supplies and medicine. Each school has nearly 400 children.
job training centers: seafm supports four job training centers for women in laos. The women who attend these centers learn a trade and then are able to work and earn an income. More than 60% of the women are single mothers. Through this job training program women are able to provide an income for their family and children can attend school. These centers are operated in partnership with local pastors and businessmen.
children's ministry: seafm also funded five churches for children's ministries. The churches are able to teach children the word of god each sunday throughout the year.
vacation bible school (vbs): seafm partners with various churches near vientiane to sponsor vbs. The program reached over 500 children total and provides bible study, arts, crafts and sports activities for youth and children. Funding was provided for staff, school supplies, food and transportation. Vbs not only shares the gospel, but children also learn reading, traditional dance, hygiene, arts and crafts, and sports.
