Mission: SSTC, the oldest track program in Montgomery County, Maryland, grew out of the need to provide a constructive, enriching program for community youth during the unsupervised evening and summer hours. The program targets at-risk youth in need of the leadership skills, discipline, and confidence that are often the by product of organized sports. Through athletic training and competition, focus on academic performance and mentoring programs, SSTC has been able to assist older youth with college opportunities and other issues crucial to a young person's individual success. Our goal is to increase the current level of service and be able to expand the program itself as well as be able to extend the programs benefits to those low-income families that are often unable to pay relative fees.
