Trees for the Future not only plants trees, but through their Forest Garden approach also helps smallholder farmers regenerate their land and puts them on the pathway out of poverty and hunger.
These farmers, who were dependent on one or two crops annually, are now growing all sorts of fruits and vegetables, while the trees they plant also help fix nitrogen in the soil.
It's a no brainer that this approach suits our planet and the people who inhabit it.

Such an amazing organization!! So glad to work close with those making a true impact on this beautiful Earth we call home.
The importance of TREES providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife and this is what the Nonprofit is trying to realize. Apart from the helping solve the problems associated with ecosystem, it impacts life of everyone involved by providing employment opportunities,tools/equipments.
I therefore submit that if I was to rate over the five-star, I would do it for I am impacted. The Forest-Garden is an object of farming help reduce food scarcity in a community that practice it.
TREES is doing amazing things that are truly changing the world. I love watching what they are doing with the forest gardens and how they are providing job opportunities for locals in the community.
I love the different projects that Trees For The Future has throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. I make sure each year I contribute to this organization around the holidays. Forest Gardens are so beautiful from the photos I see on LinkedIn.
I've followed Trees for the Future for awhile now and I really enjoy their social media pages. I love seeing their success stories in real time. Thousands of trees being planted, permagardens being established and farmers transforming the land they own. I feel like every like, comment and share I add to their page helps real people.
Trees for the Future has a strong mission with benefits that pan globally. People can learn skills to pull them out of difficult financial strongholds. With such a strong mission, I support Trees for the future and all of it's endeavors to build a greener planet.
I support Trees for the Future because I believe it is important to plant trees and make an effort to help families succeed through resources and training! I am someone who grew up in nature and being an outdoors person. Nature taught me a lot about life beauty strength and understanding our roots! It’s so important we still have that nature for the next generation!
I chose to support Trees For The Future as part of my organization's initiatives because I believe in what they do and to the impact they have in the world.
I donate monthly to Trees For The Future because each year, I would like to reflect and see what kind of resources and training my support helped provide. Thank you Trees For The Future for the opportunity to help provide training and resources to working families across the world.
I have been involved with this organization on and off over the past couple of years. Each time I return, I am reminded of the great mission they have. Over the years they have accomplished great things and continued to grow smarter.
I don't remember quite how I heard about Trees for the Future. Maybe it was from social media or maybe from some other source. But I know that Trees for the Future gave me an opportunity to be part of their mission which is partly restoring lands and biodiversity and partly helping people in need. Trees were my favorite plants from childhood. Although I can't plant them by my own hands I thank Trees for the Future that I can plant trees virtually with them. I am also proud that there are still people who didn't give up on fixing the problem that lays ahead of humans kind like for example climate change. Trees for the Future give me hope that the future will be also promising. Thanks, :-).
My husband and I are proud supporters of TREES and their mission to end hunger and poverty. We first learned about TREES earlier this year and quickly became ambassadors to begin supporting our very own project in Busia, Uganda. We are continually blown away by the transparency this organization provides as far as their impact reporting and actually being able to show us what is happening at the farmer level. Since we have been ambassadors, we have seen 2 Forest Gardens and met with multiple farmers to see for ourselves how this approach is changing their lives and regenerating their land. We believe that TREES can change the world through this circular approach to farming and we are so proud to be part of this change.
In my fight against climate change I found this organization and I'm completely impressed by all the work they are doing. I feel like part of the movement through my donation!
Absolutely amazed by the work that Trees for the Future is doing. In my mission to fight against climate change, I am proud to be supporting this organization!
A member of the TREES team for three years now, I'm honored to be part of the impact this organization is making. From staff, to donors, to the farmers we serve, this is truly a community of change makers, dedicated to helping people and the planet.

I've worked at TREES for a few years now and I am so proud to be a part of this organization. The team is hardworking and dedicated to helping people and the planet. Everyday, I look forward to learning about the farmers in our program and hearing their incredible stories of growth and success.
Keep your eyes on TREES - this organization is accomplishing amazing things!
Seeking to maximize my impact in the fight against clímate change, I’ve found this organization to be exactly what I was looking for. It’s staff are supportive and truly passionate about their work. By donating, I feel like I’m a part of a real movement!
I have had the pleasure of supporting and working with the Trees team for a few years now and wholeheartedly endorse them if your desires in life include an improvement in the quality of life of farmers in sub-Saharan Africa and reducing global warming. Trees has been, and continues to be, in the business of helping farmers provide better stewardship of the land, with a focus on increasing green, helping farmers and their families lift themselves out of poverty, and generally improving their stock in life. Other consequences of this 20+ year mission has been an empowerment of female land owners, an ability to support education for kids (since poor farmers no longer need to rely on their children for food security), and an improvement in general health and well being. An additional benefit of the program has been the creation of a self-sustaining movement where graduate farmers now support others in their community to adopt the same practices and lifestyle, providing long-term community development as well.
Leaving aside what this organization has done with people, they are also a team of genuinely caring and hard-working souls who have dedicated their lives to improving others. I wish I could support them more than I do today.
I've been connected with Trees for the Future since 2009, when I was in the Peace Corps in Senegal. I've watched the organization scale its work, maintaining the quality of programs and increasing impact across communities engaged in agroforestry activities. Trees for the Future prioritizes the sustainability of their work, working alongside communities to co-create lasting solutions focused on addressing climate change, food insecurity and resilient/reliable revenue streams.
Trees for the Future is such a hard-working organization! They have most of their staff in the field in Africa, directly in contact with the farmers they help. Thousands of new Forest Gardens are actively established each year, and the trees' survival rate is more than 86%, which is an amazing rate.
Farmers cherish the trees, which are giving them so much in terms of food security, diversity, and income. The environment is restored, birds are back and help in turn with pest management.
The Forest Garden approach works so well that everything it pertains to is positively impacted: water retention, soil health, carbon capture, livestock feed, healthy ecosystem, and so much more!
Trees for the Future is a wonderful non-profit with a highly effective and scalable program model that addresses multiple challenges through its forest garden program. By supporting Trees, I am helping fight climate change, supporting sustainable land development, addressing food insecurity, alleviating poverty, and more! Trees is run by an incredibly dedicated and hardworking group of people, and I'm very proud to support Trees!
This organization is doing some incredible work on behalf of all humankind. I am so proud to be a supporter!
Trees for the future is a family that is really growing, with enough to feed the family. Am proud to be associated with this great organisation that will soon be a movement.
I love that Trees for the Future is helping people and the planet. It's a the most sustainable non-profit organization I have ever come across. Their work makes a huge difference for farmers and for the health and future of our planet. After working in this area for a dozen years, their approach is the most effective approach to agriculture and climate change that I have ever seen. Thank you, Trees for the Future!

Trees for the Future are doing transformational work to help combat poverty and land degradation in Africa. Food security is extremely important and I am glad that this organization is tackling this sustainably.
Trees for the Future has an innovative approach that differs from what is conventional- and it works. They utilize a truly bottom-up approach that incorporates what the farmer needs and teaches them how to achieve that through the Forest Garden Approach. They have one of the longest lasting impacts whereas other non-profits I've seen that try to implement similar programs usually see their impacts dissipate after technicians complete the project.
Trees for the Future is more than just a tree-planting organization! Their Forest Garden approach allows them to not only fight climate change, but provide farmers with the tools to plant themselves out of poverty and hunger. As an expert in International Development, I believe their focus on education is crucial for the success of their mission. By using education and training as their tool to end poverty, hunger, climate change, they have created a sustainable model of growth that will allow their methods to be taught for generations to come in the communities that they work in. Their work proves that through the empowerment of individuals, we can accomplish many of our world's Sustainable Development Goals.
In talking with local farmers it is evident, that Trees for the Future is making an impact. The farmers now have hope for their families and future. You see it in their smiles and the pride that they share when they tell their stories and the fruits of their labor. I'm looking forward to seeing more from this innovative organization.
Trees for the Future is an amazing organization that is making great strides towards eradicating hunger, poverty, and deforestation throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Their mission and how it's implemented in the countries where they work is inspiring. I was drawn to their mission because they put the beneficiaries first and empower them to become self-sufficient after a few years. TREES please keep planting and keep changing the world for the better!
I have been searching for an organization like Trees for the Future for some time. As a donor, I have been approached by Heifer International, Child-reach, mico-loan organizations, nature conservancy organizations, tree planting organizations and so on. While each of them seemed worthy efforts--they address the symptoms of poor farming practices--not the causes. In plain point-of-fact, none of them was holistically addressing my main concerns: Climate Change, marginalization of women and children, lack of education, and the destructive agricultural practices that are the main drivers of deforestation, land degradation, water pollution and drought, hunger and poverty.
Trees for the Future is a "perfect" and holistic program that addresses all of my interests and concerns! Trees halt and reverse deforestation, sequester carbon to fight global warming, create positive micro-climates, cool the land, raise groundwater, fertilize the soil without chemicals, provide living fences and animal feed without denuding the land, provide a way for a family to grow food organically and in great quantity and variety--so that they have food year-round and cash crops to sell in the marketplace. Compared to the destructive practice of mono-cropping, which relies on chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides and give one small payday per year, the Forest Garden requires none of these destructive inputs and provides paydays every day of the year.
Trees for the Future insists on 35% participation by women, and increases income which allows parents to afford school fees to send their children to school and to gradually erase the effects of poverty. Trees for the Future has its own open-sourced, free educational program on-line--allowing people of all ages to train in Agro-Forestry practices and to obtain certification. Certification and on-going knowledge--allows people to share their success with their neighbors, so that entire communities benefit.
I am very excited about the potential of Trees for the Future to actually, literally, SAVE THE WORLD! I am honored to be a part of this worthwhile endeavor! :-D

Awesome organization. I know that my donations help make a brighter future for my kids and others around the world.
Trees for the Future has a wonderful mission with worldwide benefits. Farmers learn skills that provide them with sustainable food sources and help lift them out of poverty. The millions of trees planted by the farmers will lead to a greener planet and help mitigate climate change.
Trees really has the Future. It's so inspiring to read the stories of the farmers I'm helping with my monthly gift especially. And not just individuals, whole families. Thank you Trees for all you do!

TREES does so much more than just support the environment. What motivates me to become a monthly donor to this organization is that they teach farmers and their families to take care of themselves and actually make money by planting Trees and Forest Gardens.
It's a terrific concept, and it WORKS. For $640 you can help one complete family through the 4 year process but they don't have even have to wait that long. They start seeing results almost right away. Planting Trees provides food, education and is good for the environment to boot, what's not to love. As a donor, I love seeing the smiles on the farmers' faces and especially on their kids' faces because everybody is impacted by this simple act of planting trees.
Fantastic small nonprofit that is constantly impressing me with their ability to demonstrate impact! Not only do the trees they plant help the global environment, but they also have a tangible and substantial impact on the farmers that plant them.

I’m proud to donate to an organization that does so much good for the world, environmentally and economically.
I know that my donations are used well to make sure that other people’s lives and world are made better.
As a donor for two years, I am pleased to support an organization that is helping families and the environment.
I am inspired by the lasting change that this nonprofit makes. They empower farming families to change their lives through tree planting and sustainable agriculture.
I am proud to be a donor to this wonderful organization which does so much more than simply protecting the environment. Trees helps people sustain their families and their communities while at the same time helping to sustain the planet. Giving farmers the tools to bring food from the earth to feed their families and to become self sufficient members of their broader community is a wonderful goal that Trees is striving to reach every day. I fully support this goal and the wonderful organization that is striving to meet it.

Trees for the Future is a low-key organization that has a huge impact on the people and communities that it serves. From its small office in Silver Spring, Maryland its staff helps to end hunger, poverty and deforestation in Africa. Through its Family Garden program it helps sustain a family for generations to come, providing food both to eat and to take to market to sell so that the family can feed its members and have a source of income to provide for other essentials. It is a great organization with very worthy goals. I support it wholeheartedly.
Great mission. I totally support the idea of planting trees for the future. We were active in the Jewish National Fund whose mission is to plant trees in Israel and make the desert bloom. We love the idea of spreading the mission to Africa. It is a gift that keeps on giving.
I marvel at what amazing work this organization is doing in the world. Not only does it help sustain our planet but it also helps farmers create a more sustainable life for themselves. I am particularly interested in the work they do with female farmers and empowering them to build their own careers. Amazing work!
Continuously impressed by Trees for the Future's impact and dedication to helping the environment and people. I've seen their work first hand on the ground and it is astonishing to see the impact being made in so many areas. Trees for the Future is transparent and innovative and truly ending the cycle of poverty by training their beneficiaries to use sustainable practices.
I am a volunteer for TREES for the Future, including being an active Board Member for more than a decade.
TREES and it's growing program of Forest Gardens may be the key to saving our planet from the degradation of climate change, providing food security, soil restoration, tree leaves as fertilizer, nutrition, income, and a reason to live at home and not be forced to flee to other lands.
A small contribution enables the plantings of hundreds of nut, fruit and legume bearing TREES. I started 7 Forest Gardens with the help of friends and family as a living tribute to my late husband in 2018. So far, 28,000 TREES have been planted plus cash crops and hunreds of veggies such as hot peppers, peas, lettuce, eggplants and more. Help save our planet! Support TREES for the Future, www.trees.org.
I recently became a donor because this nonprofit is about empowering farmers and helping to improve the environment at the same time. It's not a hand out but a hand up. You are literally helping to change lives forever.
This organization is a great organization, whose actions are directly helping the lives of people throughout the world, as well as the world itself. Trees for the Future doesn't just plant trees, they help to provide incomes and food for families through helping people to become agriculturally self sufficient. They are an organization with solid leadership, a dedicated staff, big ideas, and they use donations effectively and efficiently. Trees for the future helps to sustainably lift people from poverty while providing a future for the earth.
I have watched and supported the good work of Trees for the Future for a a decade or more. The organization is making an incredible difference in the lives of people living on the African continent and elsewhere. Using trees that enrich soils, provide incomes and help the planet. Trees works with small farmers--a bottom up approach--who share techniques within their communities and create a larger impact. In this time of climate change, which will greatly affect countries where Trees works, there is no more important cause to support.
One of my favorite charities that I have regularly donated to and supported over the past decade. $40 USD can help plant 400 trees. That's 10x higher promise than most other tree planting organizations.
Looking forward to seeing more awesome work from Trees for the Future :)
This organization has grown slowly over the years, reporting without slick brochures and working in cooperation with those they serve. They recently lost their founder but I surely hope that they continue his priorities!

I travelled to the Philippines to work restoring forested areas after a typhoon. TREES personnel were very helpful in organizing local labor and equipment to perform the work. We accomplished a great deal of work and helped the local people and schools.
I have always been in love with God's greatest gift to mankind "Mother Nature" and I came across this organization after searching for NGO's that is helping to make this world a better place to live for people who needs assistance and since trees are the most important resource, every effort put by this organization has had a great impact on many lives.
Looking at the progress they have made since they came in to existence is remarkable and I wish more people join and contribute in any way they can to Save the planet and leave a beautiful world for our future generations.
This organization is awesome. They have provided aid to dozens of countries around the world. Not only has this company planted over 60 million trees but have done so at an extremely low cost of less than 10 cents a tree. Other companies charge a dollar or even more to get a tree in the ground. In addition to planting trees, Trees for the Future has been able to provide incomes and food for families by educating communities in sustainable agroforestry techniques. TREES has helped fortify soil, prevent erosion, filter drinking water, reintroduce biodiversity and provide forage and building materials on top of lots of other benefits to local people and the environment. Please help out this great organization; one dollar helps plant 10 trees!!!

Want to respond to air pollution, desertification, climate change, soil degradation, erosion, excess carbon in the atmosphere, poor water quality, loss of habitat and many other problems? The solution is to plant trees. Trees for the Future helps people to do just that, and more. Agroforestry, biofuel production, efficient cook stoves are other benefits that Trees for the Future are helping people achieve.
Few people know that Trees For The Future is a 20 year old agro forestry NGO. Agro Forestry is a holistic way of planting trees within the context of sustainable development. Their website is full of content about what they do. I am involved with their work through a Corporate Sponsorship program that allows us to use Tree Planting Gifts as currency to reward and recognize individuals in corporations for their participation in various green initiatives.
