Mission: Silver horizon's mission is to see low-income seniors living safe and secure, in their own homes, with enough food to eat.
Programs: Household bill assistance:silver horizons helps low-income seniors pay their gas, electric, water, firewood and/or propane bills. Many of the seniors we assist have either past-due bills, or they have received disconnect notices. Most of our clients live on about $900 per month. Food distribution:each month, silver horizons distributes food to almost 3,000 extremely low-income seniors. In 2017, silver horizons distributed more than 1,080,000 pounds of food (enough groceries for 900,000 meals), and received more than 21,600 food pantry visits.
