Mission: Shenandoah university educates and inspires individuals to be critical, reflective thinkers; lifelong learners; and ethical, compassionate citizens who are committed to making responsible contributions within a community, a nation and the world. The university offers over 40 undergraduate degrees, over 20 graduate degrees, and undergraduate and graduate certificates through its seven schools of study. The university is affiliated with the united methodist church and fosters a nurturing environment in which students learn, grow, and flourish.
Programs: During the fiscal year 2016-2017 shenandoah university continued its focus on excellence and innovation with enrollment of 4,266 students in graduate and undergraduate program in (fall/spring 2016/2017) through its seven schools and more than 100 programs of study.
student services includes admissions, registrar, student affairs, student organizations and athletic programs. During fiscal year 2016-2017, shenandoah university had 87 recognized student clubs and organizations. Shenandoah university sponsored 19 intercollegiate teams (10 for women and 9 for men), with a total student-athlete involvement of approximately 466. Intercollegiate athletics are an integral aspect of student life on the shenandoah university campus, with the majority of students involved either as participants or spectators.
