Tools, training and landscape materials are provided including lumber, soil mix, plants and infrastructure. Volunteer work days are scheduled for groups, particularly senior groups, needing assistance.
city seeds urban farm - is a green jobs training program for homeless, near homeless and chronically mentally ill/addicted persons. Food grown is sold at farmers markets and donated to emergency food providers. Civic groups and service learning students provide approximately 13,000 hours of service per year.
education - school greening program provides tools training and resources to youth garden programs in outdoor classroom/garden setting. Curricula provided is tied to mandatory skills. Material support includes plants, seeds, lumber, soil mix and teacher training. Sites include child day care providers, public and private schools, after school programs and youth service organizations.
