All contributions accepted by schwab charitable will be considered irrevocable and unconditional. Contributions are invested for potential growth and grants are made to support the exempt purposes and operations of a wide variety of recipient public charities. Since inception, the fund has distributed over $8. 201 billion to other 501 (c)(3) charities. This amounts to an average annual distribution of about 19% of the fund's net asset value.
