I donate to a lot of charities with small amounts and Justgive makes it really easy. Love the record keeping too.

I have been informed that Just Give have took it upon themselves to take £2,000,000 from the the monies raised by Captain Tom those funds raised by this gentleman were collected to help the British N.H.S. and not for other charity's or Just Give . Just Give have no right to take any monies from the fund which involved Captain Tom.
Any future donation I make will most definately not be for the benefit of Just Give and I know for sure there are a few hundred charitable donors and this number is rising rapidly you are not entitled to any of that money raised how dare you help yourselves to those funds raised for the benefit of our N.H.S.

I made some donations to support my daughter in law's swimathon via just give and asked her if she knew if the money had been transferred to the charities. She said she didn't know so I contacted just give to inquire about the donation. Just give would not give answers. The leak of transparency and accountability is staggering. They will not provide the proof the fund has been transferred, how much to whom... Personally, I fing this incredible. Why shouldn't they provide answers when questioned?
As a volunteer and consultant with JustGive for more than 8 years, my heart sank to see the organization called a scam. It is not! JustGive was started to increase charitable giving, and joined forces with JustGiving last year to create the world’s largest social giving platform. I understand integration has not gone as smoothly as desired, resulting in some confusion and frustration. I also know transitions are challenging. Here’s what I know for sure: JustGive has always been driven by the passion to make a bigger difference in the world. With its long history of delivering results, I’m going to be a little patient with the current changes.
To all JustGive donors, sorry for any confusion or frustration. JustGive’s front end technology was purchased by JustGiving, a peer-to-peer charity platform, in order to offer more robust charitable services. The transition has resulted in some delays in disbursements and communication but this should be resolved as the integration gets completed. It has taken longer than expected, so thank you for your patience in this growth stage. We hope you experience more enhanced technology and charity services longterm as a result of this collaboration, but am sorry for any inconvenience right now. JustGive.org will service JustGiving's backend check disbursements, but JustGive.org is an independent organization. If you have specific questions there is a chat function that you can use on the justgiving.com website (https://help.justgiving.com/hc/en-us) or you can email them directly to help-us@justgiving.com. I have chosen 4 stars since we are currently not offering the outstanding service we provided before. Thank you for your charitable impact and making a difference in the world!
I signed up to give a charity a monthly donation. Just Give has now raised their rates and the chairty no longer works with them....YET...they are still drawing from my bank account, canceled their phone number and I am unable to find a phone number or a link that works!!
DO NOT USE - SCAM
I work for a small local nonprofit. We chose to go through JustGive because they charge less per donation. In October we received $320, and should have received the check by the end of the month or the beginning of November. We have emailed them at least 6 times, and they have told us multiple times that the check is on its way.
Whoever bought out JustGive is running money through and never cutting checks to the nonprofits. I will be reporting to the BBB and any other federal agency I can find.
Justgive is an usurious organization. I will not use it. I paid $200 to Arsha Vidya Gurukulam on May 6, 2017 via my credit card. Just Give org took 4.5% and remitted to the donee $191 on July 6, 2017, i.e. after holding cash for 2 months. . Hope the Government intervenes. Vembar K Ranganathan , Irvington, Ny 10533
I was duped into donating to Great Non Profit. Found out they use JustGive to process the money. As soon as I found my donation did not go to the charity I wanted I made contact and F... A... of great non profit support emailed they would contact JustGive to reverse my donation. Over the period of 3 days no results.
I have asked that my transaction be reimbursed to me ... but nothing
I believe this is nothing more than a sham. I was trying to donate to Convoy of Hope, a top religious non profit relief company.
Two phone number given for this company ar no longer in service.

DO NOT USE
I am a non profit and it's a pain to get our money that was donated to us. They sit on it. Very first check had issues and was returned by them. They said to email with copy of fee to reimburse. Email came back returned they never reimbursed. Checks are supposed to be issued by the 15th but they want until the end of the month. Never received one check mailed 06/29/17 since have emailed no joke 13 EMAILS!!!! Same crap saying they will reissue and they have not. RIDICULOUS they don't have a phone number. Reporting to BBB.
WARNING: Do not use JustGive!
Our non-profit recently used JustGive to accept a sizeable donation from a donor who wanted to use an American Express card. We chose to do so because the credit card fee was lower than our normal processor.
In the JustGive donor Terms and Conditions it states:
"I understand that JustGive will send my donation to my recommended charity by the 15th of next month."
We are well past the 15th of the month following the donation, and the check has not been mailed. Further, you cannot contact JustGive by telephone, only by completing an online form. We did receive a call from them one week after completing the form, and the CSR indicated that the payment was delayed and that she would contact finance.
If the payment is not received, we will have to go back to our donor to have American Express reverse the charges. Clearly, that is a conversation you do not want to have with a donor!
On April 28th, our charity Create Now received notice that we had received 1,000 donations for $10 each. I contacted JustGive to find out where these donations came from -- through email only since they have NO phone number listed - which is very fishy!
Someone at JustGive sent me an email stating that they suspected the donations were “tests” being done by credit card thieves who charge small amounts on many different credit cards. If the transactions go through then they know the cards are valid so they use them to charge for more expensive items. The representative at JustGive assured me that they would investigate and find out if these charges were authentic. I contacted them four more times asking for the results, but never heard back.
Then at the end of May, we got a check from JustGive, and yet another one at the end of June. So we assumed that the contributions were valid. Therefore, today we sent out thank you emails to everyone because we wanted to express our gratitude. It opened a floodgate of emails and angry calls from many people stating that they had never contributed money to Create Now. I've had to spend hours dealing with this fiasco instead of doing our important work.
JustGive never did an investigation. I think they put these transactions through so they could keep the processing fees. Meanwhile, the people whose money was stolen still blame our charity in spite of the email we sent them to explain this situation, and that we are also innocent victims.
I tried to remove our profile from JustGive and there is no way to do this. I've sent them an email demanding that they remove Create Now from their system, and we'll be lucky if we ever hear back.
I am a treasurer for a non-profit. Back in December, 2016, we received a donation from JustGive, and I deposited it. The check bounced, and our bank charged us a $12.00 fee. In January, 2017, we received a replacement check with a note that JustGive would reimburse us for any bank charges. I sent them an email, and a scan of the bank statement showing the charge. Back and forth emails led me to believe that JustGive would reimburse our $12.00. It is now almost July, 2017, and my last two emails have had no response from JustGive. I am putting a printout of the scan and the email stream into the mail. Maybe this will get our money back. I don't know. I'm just frustated that I'm being ignored, and there is no way to talk to anyone directly at JustGive.
We are experiencing the same problems reported by others. After good experiences, we are now finding that our donations are not being paid to us (a charity).
Review from Guidestar
I tried to make a donation to St Michaels School and after some frustration was told I made two donations but have no idea how they received any money since I gave no credit information. Frustrating. I can't rate it until I know what happened.
Made a wedding registry with them. Donated $20 of my own to see how it worked. A month after I made my donation and had it taken out of my bank account my registry all the sudden said $0 instead of $20 donated. When I contacted customer service they said they had no record of me ever donating the money even though it had been taken out of my account and posted for over a month on my registry. They asked for more information which I gave them then never heard from them again. I had good intentions but immediately deleted my registry not wanting to see my friends and families money disappear into thin air. Very disappointed in this whole website.

No notification of my donation and they have all of my credit card information. I donated in memory of and I am clueless and unable to reach them for any answers. I cannot recommend this organization with all of the options.

I purchased a gift card which was to be sent out by e-mail and it is now three days later and the card has still not been sent out. There is no one to call to find out what is the problem.
This appears (from my internet searches) to be the best in class donation site. It relies on donations and processing fees to allow users to provide giving pages so that they can encourage donations to charitable organizations of any kind. I'm creating a page for my own favorite charities (I'll tell people to go there if they want to give me holiday or birthday gifts), plus I've made a memorial page for my mom's memorial (PETA and her HS alma mater being kept in mind) and finally -- what I'm most hopeful about -- a team page to organize all family members interested in doing a unusual buy nothing Christmas charitable gift exchange (in place of family gift exchange). I haven't sprung this on anyone yet, and I'm just tinkering around on justgive.org to test it out before announcing, but I like the site best of any I've seen. Justgive.org has a lot of charities online -- I haven't run into one of my favorite orgs that isn't on it yet, so that's huge. Setting up the profile for myself something to be desired, and I want a little more flair (thinking I'll launch the site as a link from a blog page where I can be more expressive. Let's see how it goes...

Andrea Lloyd 12/02/2014
What a great idea to exchange charity gifts for the holidays with your family! You're setting such a good example - thanks for making a difference through JustGive.
We all know the Wounded Warrior Project and how very important it is to help our Military. Please consider giving to this worth while Charity.
Sincerely,
Barbara S Adams
This was not easy at all. It kept telling me that I had done something wrong and so after the 3rd try I signed out. Did I give 3 times, did it accept anything. I will check my charge bill to see. Very frustrating when I want so much to give.

Andrea Lloyd 10/28/2014
We are sorry for the frustration you had when you were trying to donate. Please email us at support@justgive.org and we'll be happy to look into this for you.
This was a complete failure. I have tried to make a donation to an ornithological organization all morning but JustGive said that there was an error in my information. I could find no errors and each time I tried to change the password, it would tell me that an account with that email address already exists. Wasted my whole morning! This site must work for some people, but it didn't work for me. I wish I could find a way to remove my account!

Andrea Lloyd 10/10/2014
We are sorry for the problems and frustration you had trying to donate! Please email us at support@justgive.org and we'll get this resolved for you. If there's a technology glitch on the site, we definitely want to know about it.
My favorite part about JustGive is how easily I can incorporate giving into my life year-round. I love when a friend tells me the charity gift card was one of the most unique and meaningful gifts they've received.
I can only assume JustGive is experiencing serious business problems because it is impossible to reach someone to talk to to help resolve problems or answer questions. I am the executive director of a nonprofit who has used JustGive for our online giving for several years.
Recently I had questions about particular donations and despite sending multiple emails, writing Facebook posts on the JustGive website, and sending Twitter posts to JustGive, I did not receive a response and cannot find a "live" person to talk to. Very concerning. The phone number listed on the website indicates they don't take phone calls....then why have a phone number??? The whole thing seems unprofessional now and shaky. It did not used to be this way. We used to be able to talk with someone when we had questions. Now there is no one to talk to, donors are having trouble and our donations are not being sent on a timely basis. We are looking to find another online giving option. Think twice before using JustGive.

Andrea Lloyd 10/06/2014
We are sorry for the delay in getting back to you, and know waiting for a response can be frustrating. We do respond to all inquiries in the order they are received. As a small nonprofit with limited resources, we have hired additional customer service team members so we can provide a more timely response. Would you provide a direct email address to reach you (the one used for your inquiry)? We'll get to the bottom of this and get back to you. Thanks.
I have recommended JustGive to friends and family for a variety of reasons, most notably because 1.) my donations have gone to 15 different organizations (local, national and international) without a single problem in 9 months; 2.) the JustGive charitable organization search and signup process proved to be accessible for one who is not particularly "computer literate;" and 3.) JustGive e-mails a monthly re-cap of all donations, making their work transparent and simplifying my ability to keep track of donations. With appreciation, M.N.V.
I wanted to surprise my aunt by making a charitable donation to honor her birthday but really don’t know which causes she supports. I have also cut way back on donating because I’m so tired of all the mail these other organizations send me (asking for more donations!) and it annoys me when they sell my name and address to other charities. I’m glad I found the Just Give website and their “gift card” options. I love the fact that my aunt will choose which charity she wants to support and I won’t be stuck on yet another mailing list!! If we end up having any problems with the donation, I’ll update my review, but for now I really like this site and the Just Give organization!
I found JustGive when searching for sites that provide access to making charitable donations. I have used JustGive for the past three years to research non profits and to provide charitable contributions. The process is very easy and they provide annual summaries via email for tax purposes. Credit cards are sometimes frozen because apparently there is a lot of fraud that goes on in this industry so they just want to be sure that the payment is valid. I don't see this as a JustGive problem but rather an industry issue. I will continue to use JustGive for making future donations.
Updated:
After a rocky start, Just Give did a great job resolving my issue. Not only did they go above and beyond to accommodate the request, but also stayed vigilant to make sure I was satisfied.
I look forward to giving out the gift cards at our conference!

Andrea Lloyd 08/04/2014
We are so sorry to hear about the problem you had trying to print charity gift cards for all your conference speakers. Thanks for altering us - We seem to have a technical glitch in our system and we're getting that fixed. In the meantime, send us an email at giftcards@justgive.org and we'll help get this resolved for you right away. Thank you.
I am more than happy to donate to justgive, but its a bit disturbing that my credit card was frozen, as I got an e'mail alert reporting suspicious credit card activity regarding this transaction, I had to log in to clear the alert, and I trust that there is really no issue, but I am still justifiably concerned, and will have to keep an eye on things...
Perhaps this non-profit needs a little more acceptance from the powers that be...

Andrea Lloyd 07/21/2014
We are sorry to hear about this un-authorized charge to your card. Getting your card frozen has to do with the security settings on your credit card. Please contact your bank as soon as possible, they will be able to help you resolve this issue. Your bank's fraud protection department should be able to refund anything that wasn't authorized.

As the financial director for a Not-for-profit, I have found this organization VERY difficult to reach. I think it may be telling that there is no phone number listed on their website. Our previous financial person has left their position leaving us unable to verify donations through Justgive.org. I read in previous posts that they are understaffed and answer emails in the order that they were received, as I write this I sent my email more than 3 weeks ago, have since received another check I am unable to verify and our Program has now gone to the printer and those that have donated will not be acknowledged. Shame on Justgive, just go elsewhere NP's!

We are sorry for the delay in getting back to you and any donor verification problems it caused. We do respond to all inquiries in the order they are received. As a small nonprofit with limited resources, we have hired additional customer service team members so we can provide a more timely response, we manage our email queue as efficiently as possible.
It was very easy to donate. Thought I would have to jump through many hoops but very self explanatory.
I find the just give website incredibly frustrating. The organization that I was supporting through JG changed platforms. I have tried on numerous occasions to stop my contribution but it just keeps coming. There is NO phone number to call just give an get it done.

Andrea Lloyd 07/02/2014
Sorry for the frustration. Please send an email to support@justgive.org as soon as possible and they should be able to help you resolve your problem. Since we need to track records of all correspondance (and due to limited staff resources) we can offer support by email only, sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
I am the Accounting Manager at my non-profit and we have an account set-up with justgive.org. The previous person who managed the account no longer works for my agency and we have no way to log-on and check who has donated. Two of our board members have donated through the site, but we have not recieved any payment or notification of the donantions and we cannot check through the website.
The phone number listed on the website does not allow you to talk to a person and it does not allow you to leave a message for a return call. It simply directs you back to the website and tells you to send an email. I have sent two emails regarding this issue and I have recieved no response in the last two weeks.

Andrea Lloyd 06/16/2014
Hi Andy, If you have already emailed customer service, your inquiry will be responded to in the order it was received. We are a small nonprofit, under-staffed at the moment so wait times have been a bit longer than usual. Thank you for your patience.

I am on the Board of Directors for SPARK! Dallas. We help ignite the spark of creativity in youth 7-17 by bringing them to a wildly creative and fully immersed environment that allows them to run, play, touch, climb and crawl throughout the facility. We will have different programs to keep things fresh. Kids can try new medium like painting, woodworking, sculpture, textiles, architecture, culinary, music and more.
SPARK! will be located near downtown Dallas, Texas.
Observed on Friday morning a charge on my web checking account with the notation "JustGive", which did not match my ledger, and was a transaction that I know I did not originate nor authorize. Tried contacting JustGive.org via two telephone numbers that advised that they did not have live help, but to use their email. Found a couple email addresses and asked why my account was charged for this unauthorized amount, and that I would like to resolve this immediately, since it was an unauthorized transaction. Have not heard from them to date.

Andrea Lloyd 06/16/2014
Kayakjack, we are sorry to hear about this un-authorized charge to your card. Please contact your bank as soon as possible, they will be able to help you resolve this issue. Your bank's fraud protection department should be able to refund anything that wasn't authorized.
Easy website experience, but just give want a $3- fee for a $10 donation. what?!?!

Andrea Lloyd 03/12/2014
Hi Cathy, I'm sorry for any confusion about the voluntary $3 donation to JustGive. That donation is in no way a mandatory fee - just a voluntary donation to help us continue to do our work.
The website is so badly organized and non-user-friendly that I am nervous about having given my charge card information. Also, it's very confusing as to who is collecting the money and who is getting the donation, as I have seen at least three different organization names since I started the process.
If my donation ends up helping cats, I will be pleased, but I'm extremely reluctant to engage the website again. Hopefully, the pet organization for which I intended the donation will contact me by email or regular mail, so that future donations can be done by mailing checks.
I gave 3 stars because I don't even know what organization I'm supposed to be rating. If it's JustGive or Great Nonprofits, the rating should be 1 star for the horrible website -- one of the most poorly executed sites I have ever encountered. Although this is my first donation to the pet charity, I can't submit these comments without claiming that I have had a prior experience with the charity.
I will not be making any more donations through this site, and I will be checking my bank account daily to make sure I don't get 'scammed'.
If it's the pet charity, then it would be hard to rate since I don't know anything about it beyond what I read on their website.

Andrea Lloyd 03/12/2014
Hi Audioit, We are sorry you had a hard time navigating the site. For the past few months we've been in the process of updating the website, and I am happy to say that it launched last week. We were aware of some issues with usability and worked hard to address each one of these concerns with the update. I hope that you'll find it much easier to use now. Regarding your donation, rest assured that it did go to the cat organization you were hoping to help. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service department - they'll be happy to help you.
thank you. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
You provide a valuable service. However your website's shopping cart needs some attention. Twice it told me my donation had failed to be processed so I gave up and donated elsewhere. I was very surprised, then, to find that both donations to you had, in fact, been processed so I ended giving three times. I don't begrudge the donations to good causes but your shopping cart may need some attention. I think the problem may be that I was donating from overseas with an overseas Visa card if that helps you identify the glitch.
Web site was about as friendly as Obama Care.
circled me around then kicked me off.
could not go "back". Recieved "page expired" notices every time.
think I'll find a better way to donate.
Phil

Andrea Lloyd 01/27/2014
Hi Phil, I'm sorry you're having a problem with our site. If you'd like, you can contact customer service with the details of your attempt; they can try to help. Thank you!
The way I read the website, I'd be able to purchase a gift card giving the recipient of the card the right to designate the charity to which the money would be given. Apparently that is not the case, but I only discovered that the funds had already gone to a charity (not identified) after I purchased the card.
Not good.

Andrea Lloyd 01/27/2014
Hi Pete, Gift cards should definitely work the way you understood - if the recipient wasn't able to choose the charity, something is wrong. Our customer service department would be happy to help you. Please contact them at support@justgive.org. I'm sorry for the problem!
Each year in late December I sit down to make my annual donations to charity through JustGive. I have been doing it for several years. I donate to 70 charities (small amounts in order to spread the money around and help a lot of worthy causes). It used to be an annual "chore" to write the checks, address the envelopes, lick the stamps, and lick the envelopes. Exhausting! (And a deterrent to helping so many organizations.) Then I discovered JustGive. Each year I can call up last year's donations, adjust them, take one or more off, add one or more, and "push the button". It takes less than 15 minutes! I also like the feature that you can take your mailing address off, so that you don't get so many hard copy solicitations in the mail. Of course most of these organizations already have my address, so that is not "fool proof"!
I LOVE this orginazation. They do such great work and they truly care about the breed. I feel bad a few people had a problem. In our case the dog we adopted we boarded at the vet when the family went on vacation. They just left her there for months. Finally the vet office decided they needed to give her a chance at a real home, MAGSR stepped in and long story short, we have the sweetest, loving dog. All she wants to do is please us every day. We thank MAGSR everyday for our girl.
I used this organization to look up and donate small amounts to over 20 worthwhile charities. I appreciated the service or reading the reviews. This organization seemed so helpful BUT I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND THAT THEY TOOK 4.5% for their own overhead costs! That much less went to each of the organizations I donated to! I think in the future I will donate directly to each organization.

Andrea Lloyd 12/19/2013
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you were upset by the processing fees. We are a small nonprofit ourselves and keep our operating costs as low as we possibly can. Anytime a credit or debit card is used to make a purchase or donation, a percentage must be deducted for the credit card company. JustGive discloses this on the site so that you are aware of it. The only way to ensure that your charity receives 100% of your donation is to send a check. If you have further questions please contact our customer service at support@justgive.org.
JustGive makes my yearly donations very easy. I can bring up a list of the donations I made last year, transfer the whole list (or selected charities) to my cart, edit if I want to, and my donations are done. There are a few charities I give to that aren't on JustGive, but this takes care of most of them.
My one issue with this system is that if I elect to pay the fees, thereby incurring a slightly higher charge to my credit card, then these total amounts are the figures that show up in my cart, not the amount the charity receives. If I again elect to pay the fees, another 4.7% is added to the already increased amount. That's okay unless I add another charity and want to pay the fees for that too. I'm unable to enter the exact amount of the donation plus fee because decimals aren't allowed. So I either have to go through and edit every item in my cart or make a separate donation for new charities.

Andrea Lloyd 12/09/2013
We're always looking for ways to make the giving process easier and more streamlined for our donors - especially when it comes to repeating donations to favorite charities. Thank you for your specific feedback on fees. We'll certainly take a look to see how we can improve this on our site.
As a past boord member and business professional, I realize that there are fees connected to credit card transactions. During this transaction the Donor believes that the charity is receiving all of the money they are donating, where in reality, I believe a portion is charged to process the credit card. It would be helpful to know the amount of the fee and to offer the donor a chance to cover that amount also. I did find the Just Give sight easy to use. Thank you for the valuable service you offer to the Coastalbend Day of Giving!!!
My experience using my GiveNow card definitely exceeded my expectations. The site is streamlined, easy to understand and the database of non-profits is amazing. I have shared Just Give with my favorite charity California Academic Decathlon hoping that we too will create a fundraising program using Great Nonprofits! Thank you.
I have received gift cards and gift donations through JustGive. It was a very sweet gesture and reminds me to make my own donations. Way better than getting somekind of gift that I don't need.
JustGive provides a great service to nonprofits who are looking to raise money online and to donors who are looking to donate online. Checks are sent once a month to the organizations and all reports are accessible online. The staff is helpful via email and phone if there are questions. You can't beat the 4.5% processing fee for the services they offer compared to some other fundraising sites who charge more and offer less.
I've used JustGive several times and have been impressed at how easy the site is to use. I was able to select a charity from a huge database and be assured that my donation was processed quickly and reached its destination. I also like that a detailed receipt of my donation was sent to me so I have a record for tax purposes. I will definitely use JustGive for all future charity contributions.
I was looking for a nonprofit that I felt comfortable with - to make a donation for special causes. When I found JustGive, I realized there were a lot of way to find charities that were important to me. And they made donating online easy. I would highly recommend checking out the JustGive site if you haven't discovered them yet.
i received a gift card as a gift and didn't understand how to redeem it. the customer service was very helpful in helping me find a charity and getting the card applied to my choice.
I am quite impressed with Just Give. I was at a wedding recently and noted that the bride an groom had a donation bowl. I had never heard of Just Give but I will certainly use them in the future.
I received a gift card to Just Give. The web page was very easy to use, and I was able to donate to the organization I wanted to. This is an amazing site.
This site is AMAZING! It is a WONDERFUL resource! I love that it helps and brings joy to many and it is SO EASY to use! I wish everyone knew about the impact there giving could have and I encourage everyone to give it a try!
I was so happy when I received a gift card to Just Give. I was able to choose an organization close to my heart and make a donation. There are so many great organizations to choose from. It was very easy to navigate. I will gift donation cards to my friends for sure. It was such a great experience.
Love going to one site for all my giving - and having the option to donate anonymously, avoiding over solicitation from charities. I can support a friend's fundraising efforts, buy a charity gift card for birthdays and holidays, and automatically make a monthly gift to help my hometown keep its fire department going... in one place. The online record of my charitable donations during the year is great for tax time too!
Love this site! We give gift cards as stocking stuffers, teachers gifts, Christmas, etc. My husband started the tradition with our anniversary. Very few of my friends need more stuff--in fact, I think we would all enjoy holidays and everyday more with less. Just Give makes it easy.
it has taken the joy of giving to a whole new level for me! just give gift cards are always such a hit. i especially like giving them to kids and teens to help instill the important value of giving and i feel confident they wont be receiving the same gift from others. my kids have always enjoyed the huge range of charities they have to choose from which enables them to find something they feel they can really connect with.
kudos to this great organization!
The Just Give gift card is a triple win: 1) it solves the problem of giving to "the person who has everything" 2) It lets me feel good that the gift I am giving is really contributing vs. using up unnecessary resources and packaging, and 3) It invites the receiver into the universe of giving and the generosity of spirit that inspires, so the gift they get is as enduring as the gift they get to give to their charity of choice. Thanks Just Give!
One of my favorite gifts is the JustGive Gift Card I received this past holiday -- it truly embodies the spirit of the expression, “The Gift that keeps on Giving!”.
The JustGive Gift Card gave me the ability to support those causes that I might otherwise pass by and to encourage further giving to those charities that I am drawn to time and time again. I was so moved by a recent article on elephant poaching in the Wall Street Journal that I (readily) used my JustGive Gift Card to show my support and donate to The World Wildlife Foundation. WWF had relevance to my day, it was personal, and JustGive is the uniting force that empowers each of us as individuals.
I donate regularly to charities, like Nothing But Nets, in honor of milestone birthdays or celebrations. Sometimes, I need to search for an organization that is unfamiliar to me but has greater relevance to a family member or friend -- JustGive is an efficient way to navigate and celebrate someone we love. A Gift Card goes even further, it gives them the ability to do this on their own.
I might encourage you to move beyond traditional gift-giving. Giving someone a tool for change is a noble way to celebrate someone, and the true gift is in giving beyond themselves.
With this in mind, the JustGive Gift Card packs a whole lot of punch!

Fast, simple, efficient, trustworthy, strong integrity...All of these describe JustGive and the services they provide. For over 10 years, JustGive has developed innovative programs to power online charitable giving and is the gold standard.
Everyone should just give through JustGive!! The act of giving is rewarding in any context, but JustGive makes it incredibly easy and fun. It allows you to be proactive about where you'll make an impact. Instead of responding to a solicitation, you can be true to your passion and determine how best to allocate your resources. JustGive exposes you to a plethora of causes and missions, most of which you wouldn't know existed AND most of which are so committed to their cause they wouldn't have the means to track you down and ask for funds.
JustGive is the most efficient and easy to use site for donations. Very informative - easy to search and get key information on the organizations that I am currently donating to or considering for future donations. The Gift Cards are an excellent way to give a gift that has meaning for the recipient. Thank you JustGive!
I love the site and it is very easy to use! A few years ago I started purchasing the charity gift cards for niece and nephews birthdays, holiday gifts, etc. I also use the cards as 'thank yous' for all my kids teachers at school. (the last thing a teacher wants is another mug or box of chocolate!) I also give the cards to my own children and i love watching the process of how they pick the charity. Being able to support local small organizations is a plus for me.
Great site. So easy to use. I love being able to donate to small organizations in my area and not be bombarded with phone calls and mail. JustGive gift cards are perfect for family and friends.
Love JustGive. I have been using JustGive since they were formed about 12 years ago. The idea is brilliant. The search is so easy to use and I love that it keeps track of all my donations so I have the big picture of my charitable contributions. They have been very responsive when I have had questions. It is a clean site that is doing good work -making it easier for people to be more charitable. JustGive is making the world a better place.
When I discovered Just Give, I rediscovered the gift of giving! I started giving the gift cards to friends, family and teachers just to name a few. The joy and gratitude I got in return was a gift in and of itself to me!
JustGive has made my annual contributions to several organizations a one-stop effort. Easy to use, yes - but the website is also an extremely useful and powerful tool in learning about the organizations/foundations I am giving to or considering. Always impressed with the constant changes and advancements with the website. I can't imagine giving in any other way. Keep up the excellent work!
Site is easy to use. Search function is good. I donate to 2 organizations through JG and recently my payments were canceled. I wrote to the customer service email (there's no phone # for customer service) and never received a response, even after following up. I just ended up sending makeup payments to my orgs.

Andrea Lloyd 07/29/2013
Hi Joseph! We're sorry you had a problem with cancelled payments. We would love to help you, but couldn't find an email from you in order to respond. Our phone number is on our site, but here it is for your convenience: 866.587.8448. Please let us know how we can help, and thanks for your feedback!
It is very easy to use, and allows me to keep up with my donations for record keeping. It also allows me to be anonymous if I wish to and to pay the fee required for them to stay in business myself if I desire so the full amount donated goes to the charity. It also provides useful information for me to use in deciding if I should donate.

Very easy to use, JustGive allowed me to donate to a worthy organization that I wanted to support. They do not bombard me with emails which I am extremely grateful for. They are polite and effective in what they do. I would recommend them to any reputable organization looking for fundraising assistance.
JustGive allowed me to donate to a little-known cause that would probably not have been capable of setting up their own donation infrastructure. Easy-to-use and produced a proper receipt, would use again!
I have only good things to say about Just Give. I head a very small not for profit arts company. As the founder and director I do most of the work on a per project basis. Most of the people working here are volunteers. When we get donations , it is hard to keep up with who donates what and when and also write the tax write off. I used to do it all myself and often didn't do it in a timely manner. Just give handles it beautifully. I also like that I get the contact addresses of the donors if they provided it, so I can make sure I follow up and keep them up to date and write a thank you note. I think the percentage they charge for their service is reasonable. I don't know if it makes sense to use them if you have a large staff, but for an organization like ours it is the best.
I have also donated before to others though Just Give and had a good experience, that is when I decided to look them up and use them myself for our not for profit.
I've had a good experience with JustGive. I have a friend who always asks not to give her gifts. JustGive makes it easy for me to buy a gift certificate, print out a giftcard on the spot, and my friend gets to allocate the money to charity of her choice. She loves it, I love the convenience, and we both love having money going to a good cause.
Grey2k USA was founded over 20 years ago, followed by the organization's Education Fund, to help greyhounds being abused by the racing industry and to teach young people why we should respect animals as we expect to be respected ourselves.
Great strides have been made in both areas, with the closing of many racing tracks and with the outreach the Ed Fund has had in schools and libraries, free of charge.
As I watched the work of these volunteers in both areas, I was amazed and gratified that social justice was making big inroads into our society, with the hope that respect for all life would change our planet. Thank you, Grey2k USA.org.
I felt ripped off when I checked the $15 voluntary donation and the "give the charity the full donation" boxes. This added $43 to my $600 donation!
Also, the first time I tried I couldn't get past the scrambled security words. Tried 5 times and gave up.
This whole process needs a serious redo.

Andrea Lloyd 07/08/2013
We're sorry you had trouble using the site. The optional donation to JustGive is a voluntary donation to our organization. If you don’t want to donate to JustGive, you can uncheck the box in the Giving Basket. Like all the other organizations on our site, JustGive is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we rely heavily on the generosity of donors who contribute through our site. We provide a very affordable service for nonprofits so they can reach more donors and gain valuable support—and we do not charge any type of set-up fee or monthly fee. We want to continue to offer our services to nonprofits without charging additional fees, and still be able to exist, which is why we ask for the voluntary donation for JustGive. With donations made through JustGive, the only fee that is involved is the 4.5% processing fee that is deducted from the total amount of the donation. Covering this fee so the nonprofit receives 100% of their intended donation is optional. If the donor chooses not to cover this fee the 4.5% is deducted when we send the donation to the charity. We're also sorry that you had trouble with the security words. The captcha shows up after entering billing information that doesnt match banks records, and is used to prevend fradulent transactions. Again, we're sorry you had trouble with your transaction. Our customer service department would be happy to answer any questions you have or resolve any outstanding issues.
Extra money was billed to my credit card without authoriZation

Andrea Lloyd 07/08/2013
We're sorry you're having trouble. Our customer service department would be more than happy to help you with your problem. I just sent you a private message to assist you.
Frankly, I was misled by your "just give" sign-up page.
I committed to give $25/month.
But my bill is $26.18. That adds up to nearly 5% extra!!!
And I'm not even clear to the extent that the recipient organization may still have to pay their MasterCard charge for the donation.

Andrea Lloyd 07/08/2013
We're sorry you had trouble using the site. It sounds like you generously chose to cover the 4.5% transaction fee, so the nonprofit receives 100% of your intended donation every month. The total to be charged to your credit card shows up on the checkout page when you verify your donations and enter your billing information. This gives you a chance to review and make changes before your card is processed. If you would rather not cover this fee, you can log in to your account at any time and change the amount of your recurring donation. Again, we're sorry that you had trouble with the site. Our customer service department would be happy to help with any issues you're still having.
Not happy that when I tried to donate in honor of someone that I could not without sharing an email. I did not have the email and would not have shared someone else's email anyway!

Andrea Lloyd 06/19/2013
Thank you for your feedback, Jane. We are sorry for your frustration, and are planning some changes to the gift donation/memorial donation process that will make the notification step optional in the process. Our customer service team is more than happy to assist donors with any problems they encounter. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do!
It should not be difficult to donate money. I gave several gift-back cards as gifts recently and in trying to help my stepdaughter redeem hers, it became obvious that donating money is more trouble than it's worth. In the future, I will just go directly to the charity - they don't charge a service fee and they don't require that you register for an account. FYI - it's not a good practice to ask for someone's billing information when they are attempting to redeem a gift card. I will never use this site again, nor recommend to anyone else.

Andrea Lloyd 06/19/2013
Hi Jordan, Thank you for your feedback regarding the GiftBack card redemption process. We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the way that process works. In the future, we recommend the JustGive Charity Gift Card, which is designed for gift giving. The redemption process doesn't require creating an account. Please let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
I am new to Just Give and while I like the general template, the fees charged that the donor might wish to pay can be confused with an optional additional generic contribution. I'm not keen on this.
Also, I'd like more info on how donations move to the organizations to which they are intended- from Just Give.

Andrea Lloyd 04/02/2013
Hi Teri Jo, Thanks for the feedback. To answer your questions: 1) Donating online using a credit card means that each donation incurs a credit card transaction fee. JustGive offers donors the option to cover the fee, or we will deduct it from the donation made. We find some donors prefer 100% of their donation to go to charity, which is why we offer this option. 2) The optional donation to JustGive allows us to create new services and help charities even more. 2) Every donation you make is sent to the charity by JustGive on the 10th of the following month. You can learn more in our FAQ (https://www.justgive.org/donations/faq.jsp). To make the information about fees as easy to understand as possible, do you have a suggestion for how it can be made clearer? If so, we would definitely love to hear from you. Our objective is to make our explanations as clear as we can! -JustGive
It was unclear as to how to designate the gift and the giver. Website directions should be much easier to understand and follow.

Andrea Lloyd 03/19/2013
We're sorry you had trouble with the donation you were making. Were you able to designate and dedicate the gift as you wanted? If not, please let us know and we'll be happy to make the change. We appreciate your comments and are working to make the instructions as easy to understand as possible. Thank you for giving.
We donate several donations throughout the year utilizing our American Express points and I get so frustrated with the fact that i can't speak to a person when I call. David at JustGive.org called me back and explained, in detail, why there was a delay with our donation. This particular issue is more on AMEX than on JustGive. David's answer and follow email was appreciated. I would like to be able to talk to a person when I run into a problem but since it is a non-profit, and run lean, staffing is limited. JustGive did contact me and answered my questions.
We decided to give a donation to COHO PRODUCTIONS LTD
2257 Nw Raleigh St
Portland, OR 97210
Coho Productions produces great plays in NW Portland for reasonable ticket prices.
That site redirected us to Just give which either takes a 4% cut or adds 4% to your donation to the charity one is donating to. I thought that was total ripoff as I wanted all my donation to go to Coho. I resent that I have to go through a middle man that adds no value and spend an extra 4% to support the charity I wish to support. I will not be using Just Give in the future.

Andrea Lloyd 01/28/2013
Sorry for any frustration.
Review from JustGive
I can see the affects of this organization on the lives of people helped. They are happy and have a hope and will to go on. When I volunteer with visions I fell as if I'm making a difference in each persons life that I help!
I appreciated Just Give so much. I donate to an orphanage in Haiti, and Just Give makes it possible to make the donation so that the organizers can use 100% of the money I donate to make the orphanage safe and a good home for the children. I also appreciate that this makes my donation tax deductible - not to sound selfish, but it does help when you are part of the 99%!
JustGive makes it possible for me to make easy donations to the charities that I care about. It's super intuitive, integrated and simply the best. I've been able to use my purchases to donate to my favorite charities. Thank you so much!
Justgive is has been a terrific website. Their access and security are a pleasent addition, when trying to donate to orginizations. Chairty is such a graceful and meaningful act, and to be navigated by a trustworthy and honest site is such a relief.
Just Give made it easy for my to donate to the charitable organization of my choice. It was fast and secure!
Just Give offers an efficient and secure way to contribute to multiple organizations, and keep a detailed record of the activity. Last, their web site presentation is first class!
I used JustGive to make a donation to an animal sanctuary in a relative's name as a gift. The site was straightforward to use, and appeared to be well designed. I would gladly use this service again.
We have used the services of JustGive ever since our web site was revised two years ago. JustGive makes it very easy for a doner to not only donate to us, but allowes the donor to specify a rogram or cause they believe in. This in turn, helps us to develop donor focused materials thast keep the funds rolling in.
I first heard about JustGive when our auditors gifted us a card during the holidays to donate to an organization of our choice. I thought this was a wonderful idea, and so much more needed than another gift basket. So, JustGive naturally came to my mind when my uncle's birthday rolled around. He prefers that people donate to charity, than buy him a gift. He thought it was really great!
I've used JustGive several times in donating to charity and have found that they taken care of my desires quickly and efficiently. They make it easy and safe to donate. I am glad that I have them to use!
We gave to an organization called AIDS INTERFAITH MINISTRIES OF KENTUCKIANA, ostensibly through JustGive.org. When we received the confirmation e-mail, no non-profit tax ID number was provided for tax purposes. In addition, the e-mail was suspect because the link to the supposed charity went immediately to a gift basket web site. A web search on the non-profit name revealed a dead link. When I called JustGive to report the problem, I was connect to a voice mail that instructed me to send an e-mail. I'm not sure what is going on, but it would appear that someone on the web is collecting donations for false charities under the guise of JustGive (and uses their logo) or there is something a bit hinky about JustGive. In any case, it would be wonderful to be able to talk to a human about this problem, rather than a computer.

Andrea Lloyd 03/21/2012
Dear Lucinda, It was a pleasure to speak with you on the phone and I'm glad we were able to solve the problem; that the donor edited your tax receipt and forwarded you an incomplete copy. We at JustGive would like to continue to encourage donors to give to their favorite charities and causes through our website. Donors are using a secure service that processes donations on behalf of registered 501c3 charities. JustGive is a 501c3 charity as well, and we absorb the burden of admin costs, bank fees, and customer service so that the organizations you love can work towards their mission. Thank you for donating with JustGive, we hope we have turned your experience around!
I split my donations among may different organizations, and JustGive makes this very easy to do and to track. I access JustGive through American Express's MembersGive program, and I would be happier if AmEx didn't levy a credit card fee on the donation - surely they can afford to make their collection a tax-deductable charitable expense. Also, none of the readily available web info on JustGive includes their street address, and it took me a while to track down this info, which TurboTax says is required in order for me to claim my personal charitable expense as a deduction.
Not sure what happened in the website, but I donated exclusively to another non-profit and $2 showed up to JustGive.

Andrea Lloyd 12/14/2011
Hi Robert, Thank you for reviewing JustGive. We're sorry you didn't have the best experience, and we'd like to see if there is something we can do to change that. I understand you were charged a $2 fee you were not expecting. If you email customerservice@justgive.org with your transaction information, we'll get to the bottom of what happened and reverse any unintended charges. As a nonprofit organization, we work very hard to make sure that the most of every dollar donated goes directly to those who need it. We process donations and handle all bank and credit card fees so charities don't have to. We also do our best to clearly state any fees on our website so there are no surprises. We look forward to hearing from you and resolving this quickly. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve JustGive's services. Sincerely, The JustGive team

I'm giving these to my adult children for Christmas, in addition to their gifts, as a way to encourage them to give some of their own money to charity. It is a fun way to get started, and they can pick from hundreds of charities in their towns, which mean something to them. I get the tax deduction as my reward!
I represent the Florida Association of Public Health Nurses, Inc.(FAPHN) We became involved with Just Give/GuideStar a year ago. We received recently our 1st donation through this program. Very efficient. Easy to use for donor and easy for FAPHN to receive. We appreciate having this program on board with FAPHN. Thank you so very much! Amalia KAne-Crawford, FAPHN Treasurer
