Mission: Sca's mission is to "give a child a christmas. " with the generous support of the community, sca has maintained the central goal of providing anonymous assistance in the form of gift certificates redeemable at local merchants in the baltimore metropolitan area to aid families in the purchase of toys, clothing or books for holiday presents. Sca organizes events in order to raise awareness of the organization to the community and to raise money, as well as organize a large solicitation mailing. All these activities are for the sole purpose of bringing christmas to over 10,000 children every year.
Programs: Gift certificates given at christmas to children whose parents are on baltimore city or surrounding county welfare programs, or aided by other social programs serving the needy.
Last year i reached out to my local Dss about this organization. They were clueless. At the time I had my niece and nephews in my care. I contacted SCA SCA myself. I called emailed and message on Facebook. It's been over a year and I still haven't had any reply from the organization. No email responses no message replays no phone calls. I am still in need of assistance. My niece and nephews went back to their mother but I'm still a single mother of 6 children. Who hasn't worked in almost 2 months and still needs help.
I havent use the organization but i have friends that have! With out you guys these children would not of had a Christmas. I wish i could volunteer just to see the childrens faces!
