Mission: Boulder County Safehouse began providing services in 1979 with a staff of three, in a shelter facility that could house no more than 12 residents. Through strong community support, Safehouse has successfully expanded resources for victims of abuse in Boulder County. A staff of 31 now provides emergency shelter to a capacity of 17, as well as a comprehensive range of services to assist victims and bring an end to domestic violence, including legal advocacy, outreach counseling, transitional services, and school- and community-based education.
