They provide opportunities for low-income, high-performing students across the country. They host fun social events for donors and friends, while offering a Summer Symposium for all of the Scholars in the organization to network with industry leaders and connect with one another.
I have volunteered with Greenhouse Scholars for over a decade, serving as a mentor to students in the program, helping with events, and more. They are an amazing organization doing great things to empower young leaders across the country and to change communities for the better. From the scholarships they offer, to professional development, to the Young Leader's program and more this organization is helping high-performing, under-resourced kids in big ways. Plus, the Scholars who are a part of this program are some of the most impressive young people I have ever met!
Greenhouse Scholars is helping change the future into a more equitable one and one that ensures that all voices are heard and weighted equally. Great organization!
Now, in my sixth year at the organization, I am as committed as ever, and I believe that the seeds we are planting now will level the playing field and reverberate for generations to come. If you are motivated by everyone living a life of their choosing, this is the organization to support!

Such a great non-profit! I had never heard of them but once I was introduced to the group, I've continued to be impressed and inspired by all that they do for their Scholars. The kids that they accept into their program are amazing human beings.
Greenhouse Scholars is passionate about helping the most deserving students from the lowest-resourced communities not only get through college, but go on to help create lasting change within their communities. From all of the events I've been involved in, Greenhouse goes above and beyond to create memorable, inspiring experiences that I always walk away from feeling an overwhelming sense of wanting to give back.
Greenhouse Scholars is an incredible organization for both students and the communities they impact. It's one thing to give students scholarships, but Greenhouse Scholars goes well beyond with a whole person approach that provides mentoring and professional networking. I am so impressed by the organization and the quality of leaders who graduate from the program.
Hands down, the best non-profit on Colorado. They do an amazing job supporting students from low income communities.

This is a positive and inspiring organization that delivers results and creates real opportunity, choice, and belief from within low-income communities. The organization is terrific to work with because it focuses on quality, long-term relationships among great leaders from wildly diverse backgrounds and because it launches entrepreneurial solutions for important issues.
Greenhouse Scholars is an amazing non profit. Their vision is to create a community of leaders who will evolve the communities of the world and that's exactly what they are doing! I'm humbled and honored to be a part of this community and look forward to see the growth in years to come!
This non-profit actually makes an impact. Seeing the scholars succeed and watching the work they do is inspiring. Not only do the people at Greenhouse Scholars care deeply about the organization and its impact, but the scholars themselves care about the larger picture and the organization. I can't speak any higher about this organization.
Greenhouse Scholars is a nonprofit organization that defies categorization. Working with high-achieving role models from under-resourced communities, their model surrounds the person with mentorship, professional, financial, and support resources that level the playing field. They are changing communities and entire generations, from within.
Greenhouse Scholars is an incredible community working together to enact positive change, especially in the lowest resource communities. I've engaged firsthand with the Scholars and Scholar alumni Greenhouse works with, and they are all driven, bright, and compassionate role models attempting to create a better life for themselves and their communities. I'm grateful for the entire Greenhouse community - from Scholars and alumni, to staff and volunteers, to donors, mentors, advisors, and coaches.
Greenhouse Scholars is doing amazing work in communities across the US and changing the lives of generations. I am so impressed by everything they do and their commitment to their mission.
Greenhouse gives incredible kids a chance to live the lives anyone should be able to. They find amazing scholars and provide them the resources to learn and give back to their communities. Incredible mission.
Greenhouse has consistently developed it's people and culture to be about the highest quality outcomes. The result has been extraordinary impact on people, families, and communities, with particular emphasis on the lowest resource communities. Greenhouse has particular strengths in community building, innovation, higher education, resource leverage, and being action oriented.
Greenhouse is an incredible nonprofit that has changed my life and the lives of other young role models who hail from under-resourced, first-generation backgrounds. I first became a part of Greenhouse as a senior in high school and their Whole Person approach was extremely influential in making sure that I not only graduated from college, but gained the tools and knowledge I needed to impact my communities in a meaningful way. I received tuition assistance for all 4 years of college, a mentor who I met with on a monthly basis, access to a professional networking directory where I could network and meet with professionals across industries, access to paid internships through our many partners, and I was flown out to Boulder, Colorado annually to participate in a Summer Symposium with other scholars. It was through Greenhouse's Flex Funding (mini grants) that I bought my first laptop, which I needed to do all of my college work. Flex Funding helped pay for an unpaid research opportunity I participated in my senior year, which I needed to complete my thesis on urban gardens and food deserts in Chicago. I have met so many incredible scholars and community members through Greenhouse who have supported me personally and professionally. Even as an alum, Greenhouse continues the support in a unique, innovative, and much-needed way. The attached pictures are from an alumni meetup in Chicago where we got a chance to re-connect with alumni across several graduation years, and the other is from an alumni conference that Greenhouse hosts annually. Greenhouse isn't just a nonprofit, it is a community of diverse individuals who are creating generational, community change. I am so proud to be a part of this community.
I was a volunteer with their Bike Race, Venus de Miles. It was an excellently run-event with food and a live band, tons of fun to volunteer, and the riders loved the challenging but beautiful course.
Greenhouse Scholars is a diverse community of leaders using education to transform under-resourced communities in our backyard and around the world. I'm lucky to see this at work every day and privileged to work with colleagues that are mission driven, hardworking, dependable, and fun!
I love all of the GHS events that I have attended! Always very well run and a great opportunity to meet great people.
Greenhouse Scholars is more than a scholarship. Through this program, students receive personal, professional, and financial support to help ensure a continued path to success.
This is an amazing organization to which I am proud to donate both time and money, helping further their work in cultivating leaders to change low-income families and communities.
Greenhouse Scholars provides more than just a check to truly provide whole person support in personal, professional and financial ways.
I am inspired by the work Greenhouse Scholars is doing for high-performing students from low-income communities. They are not just providing financial support for these under resourced students, but their whole person program is designed to create leaders that will be able to give back to their community in a meaningful way.
Not only am I a volunteer, but I have experience working in this space as an educator and founder of my own nonprofit that serves underprivileged youth. Greenhouse Scholars offers such an amazing whole-person program that can really give the support this community needs. If only they had enough funding to help out more students.
I knew nothing about Greenhouse Scholars until I moved to a city where they have a presence. Which is a shame because the work they do is fantastic. After attending the Glass Half Full event I was blown away by the students they work with.
A truly great organization I have been involved with for many years. Outstanding management and application of funds for a truly worthy purpose. I recommend Greenhouse Scholars to anyone who believes in "paying it forward" and creating meaningful change for both individuals and comunities by developing new leaders in the next generation.
Greenhouse Scholars helps extradorinaiy college students succeed personally, professionally, and financially. They give underserved low-income students the chance they deserve.
Great organization that is different from other education non profits, providing professional and personal help that truly makes a difference.
This is such an amazing non profit! Watching the scholars in action and hearing their stories is incredibly humbling and inspiring.
I've been involved with Greenhouse Scholars for over 12 years and throughout that time I've continually been impressed with their purpose, progress, and professionalism. I have served as a mentor to a Scholar twice, which has been a rich and rewarding experience both times. The staff works diligently to make sure each Scholar is carefully paired with a mentor and that the relationship develops over the course of their college career. As a donor, I've been glad to see a great deal of my money go toward the students in the program. I believe they are good stewards of funds and report their progress to me with sufficient detail. There's lots of great ways to get involved in the program such as helping read new applications, volunteering at some of their events and more. I've enjoyed all my interactions with the Scholars and the staff. They're genuine and very driven to do more for low-income students than any other effort and it shows.
This organization gives me confidence that my involvement is truly creating change from the inside vs. throwing money at something that barely moves the needle. They also give volunteers lots of great opportunities to get involved in more meaninful ways than manual labor.
I just love what this organization does. Giving people an opportunity at an education and then ensuring that they give back to those communities that have helped them. And having met many of the scholars who have been helped, you see the amazing things they are doing and you can't help but be inspired.
I have participated in a few fundraisers for Greenhouse Scholars (Venus de Miles, Glass Half Full) and am always impressed by the quality of the events. I had the opportunity to meet several Scholars at these events and I have found them all to be incredibly impressive students and leaders in the community who have overcome challenging upbringings.
The best part about Greenhouse Scholars is they don't just give the students financial support and wish them luck, but aide in every aspect of their educational and personal development though mentoring. It's this kind of support that ensures success and creates impactful change for the student, their families, and the communities they come from. It's really inspiring.
This is a well run program for incredibly deserving, hard working students who greatly benefit from it.
Scholars is a nonprofit that is extremely invested in the people it works so hard to support. They invest in the scholars beyond just the organizational requirements and are making a change in communities across America, and the world.
Greenhouse Scholars has exceptional students, overcoming incredible odds to become change agents in their communities. These are young people who have faced homelessness, incarcerated family members, even terminal illnesses to not only be (for many) first generation college students, but to approach life as an opportunity to help people like them succeed too.
My husband & I have volunteered several years for this very worthwhile scholar nonprofit. Greenhouse Scholars has been instrumental in the success, achievements and future of exceptional students while in college and years beyond in achieving each Scholars’ goals including giving back in their communities and elsewhere.
