Target demographics: The RollinBuckeyez Foundation’s (RBF) mission is to provide social and recreational activities to children and families to strengthen family bonds and proactively address health and wellness challenges. RBF focuses on using roller skating, a fun and safe activity, as a way to bring physical exercise and skill-building to the communities that need it the most. It works all of the major muscle groups and can burn up to 300-600 calories per hour and is a way to have fun, listen to music and meet others in the community.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Last year we embrace over 1000 Men women and children with our family events and programs
Geographic areas served: Cleveland and surrounding cities is our homebases.
Programs: Through our H.E.A.L (Health Exercise Arts Literacy) curriculum, we offer a camp in which students learn the basics of roller skating, choreographed moves and dance routines, confidence building, social skills, team building, and physical activity. Also, in the camp, children learn sportsmanship, responsibility, the benefits of hard work, and increase self-esteem. Our staff encourages participants to continue being active well after their camp experience ends.
