Mission: To provide within the community cultural, recreational, and developmental activities and entertainment, instruction, athletics, sport, and other wholesome activities for children of all ages as well as for adults, under adequate supervision and guidance in order to aid and maintain the physical and mental health of the people in the community, as a basis and preventative means for combatting delinquency and as a means of bringing people together under proper supervision in appropriate surroundings.
Programs: Adult and youth education - adult and youth education programs are offered to senior citizens, adults, teens, and children. In two ten-week sessions, classes cover every area of interest: music, art, languages, exercise, dance, computer, business skills, and financial workshops.
teen center - the organization runs free out-of-school programs in a north bronx public school, offering a wide variety of academic, remedial, social, cultural, and recreational opportunities for underserved urban youth in the north bronx. The center provides important services currently filling the gap between 3pm and 6pm and weekend evenings when youth are most vulnerable to high risk behavior. 1. After school program - for youths from 6th to 12th grades. 2. Full day program - for youths from 6th to 8th grades, operating during the holidays and winter and spring breaks.
