Mission: The rheumatism society of the district of columbia provides continuing medical education to its membership and rheumatology trainees in order to promote excellence in arthritis care, teaching and research in the washington, d. C. Area.
Programs: Updates in rheumatology clinical lecture series: this series of six meetings hosted guest speakers prominent in the field of rheumatology to expand attendee'sknowledgeable base. Approximately 40 area rheumatologists and trainees attended each meeting.
fellows forum: the fellows forum is an annual research conference at which rheumatology fellows present research findings, with awards for the best research project. Approximately 60 fellows and area rheumatologists attended the fy 2016 forum.
education: the board of directors participates in training meetings to provide continuing medical education to the society's membership including the development of a website.
