Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Homeless & Housing, Housing Development, Construction & Management, Housing Rehabilitation, Human Services, Senior Citizens Housing & Retirement Communities, Seniors

Mission: Although formally incorporated in December,1996, North Suburban Chicago chapter volunteers have been working through the Chicago Metro chapter since it began in 1992. In 1997, 10 homes were repaired with about 350 volunteers. In 1998, 18 homes were worked on with over 500 volunteers. In 1999, 25 homes were rehabbed by close to 750 volunteers. In the spring of 2000, 30 homes with over 894 volunteers were rehabilitated.

Our Goal for 2001 is to raise $125,000 and rehab an additional 30 homes for low-income seniors and disabled homeowners.
