Mission: Bexar County REACT was founded in 1997, after splitting off from Guadalupe County REACT in order to better serve our county. Since then, the old group has folded, leaving us to cover multiple counties. We have been responding to disasters in Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, Bandera, Atascosa and Wilson counties. We have worked public events in those, plus Travis counties in past. Our neighboring team (Comal) has a pair of trained search dog teams. We work closely with the Heidi Search Center of San Antonio (Missing kids) to provide them with communications support during searches.
