Mission: Operate pueblo railway museum-preserve, interpret, display and operate historic railroad equipment artifacts for public enlightenment preserve for future generations.
Programs: Operate pueblo railway museum-hands on alternative educational resource in southern colorado. Includes aquisition, restoration, interpretation and display of railroad equipment, artifacts and documents. We operate vintage equipment on certain occasions and provide rides to visitors to provide the experience. We host group tours for schools and other groups.
sliding door diner- a restaurnat which serves special meals periodically generating a small profit for museum. Sponsors also donate to support each meal, however, diner has become self-supporting and sponsorships go toward museum operation. Located in former dining car/kitchen car of museums work train exhibit, the diner experience provides a unique educational experience in the use of equipment and life of railroaders. There are historical exhibits on walls of dining area. We were not able to operate during dec. Jan. And feb. Due to weather.
