All the people at The Becky Baker Foundation are absolutely wonderful. They work very hard to make things easier on people who have or are experiencing Breast Cancer. I really appreciate everything they do.

As a former employee and parent, this daycare has shown over and over it is not concerned about employee or child wellbeing. As an early childhood advocate, I addressed concerns to the current admin and Board of Directors about some issues I saw as an employee. First, parents should be able to drop their child off in their classroom daily for effective communication. This directly affects the child's day. Second, the way that staff is treated by the current director is horrendous. There needs to be some accountability of actions and words within this facility.

I had just joined Assistance League of Pueblo and participated in Operation School Bell for the first time. I also was working as an adjunct Professor at Pueblo Community Center. I saw so many happy faces as kids and their parents/ guardians left with full bags of new clothes, books, and health kits. I knew that we had made a lot of kids happy and excited to go to school wearing their new clothes. But the most heartwarming moment occurred the next day when a student of mine came up to me and hugged me , saying that she had never seen her daughter, a first grader, so happy. Her new clothes from OSB were so special. “She loved her new coat so much, she didn’t want to take it off.” ❤️

This pregnancy care center is a joke. Moved my appointment around twice.. And i was fine with that to help convince them. They call me the day before to move my appointment from 2 o'clock pm to 9 am. And i was fine with that. This morning i woke up and dragged both of my kids out of bed.. To get on the bus at 7:30am this morning to be to my appointment at 9am and 30 mins before my appointment WHILE IM ON THE BUS WITH BOTH MY KIDS!!! They cancel my appointment because they're ultrasound tech was not going to be in this morning when the lady i spoke to yesterday ASSURED me nothing would change that i was still promised my ultrasound.. And now i wont be able to get my first ultrasound to see my baby..

The volunteers and staff at Pueblo Rape Crisis Services offer superior programming, not only to survivors of sexual assault, but to large and small organizations in the area, student groups, and other companies. The more people in society are educated about these topics, the more we can all do to play our part in creating change. I am grateful for PRCS for educating the community, advocating for those who need it, and for never giving up on humanity. The work PRCS does for Southern Colorado makes it a better place to live.

This organization is discriminatory. Because of that, my father is now DEAD. As a mentally disabled homeless caucasian, he went in for assistance in 2018, was turned away, and on December 15th of that same year, was KILLED in a hit and run. <br>The "supportive services case manager" has got no business being employed with this type of agency. She is racist and lacks any sense of empathy or compassion for people whose skin is not brown enough. I know this for a fact because I myself, as a disabled single mother, have gone in there for help and was treated like absolute garbage. She would not even tell me where I could get blankets for my homeless 8 year old and myself. She also lied to me about the services they offer, unless their website needs to be updated... <br>I am doing everything I can to make a better life for my child and myself. As an autistic woman, it is a huge struggle already, and Posada just knocked me down with no hesitation. This is NOT a GREATNONPROFIT!!!

Veterans Overcoming Veterans has helped me with participation in veteran related meetings and physical training. This training which I have been involved in includes Veterans Day ruck events, Memorial Day Murph and Tough Mudder. The team work with the Veterans on your team is a great feeling.

The Pueblo Amateur Radio Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the amateur radio community in Pueblo, CO and the surrounding region. It supports many types of activities and services including supporting the National Weather Service's SKYWARN program and the Amateur Radio Emergency Service. PARC also owns, operates, and maintains several repeaters at several sites in the area that also support those programs as well as being used for regular amateur non-commercial radio traffic. Earlier in 2016, PARC assumed the assets, liabilities, operations, and membership of the Pueblo Ham Club and is in the process of completing the transition. The Pueblo Ham Club and it's preceding organizations have been affiliated with the ARRL since 1937 and PARC is proud to continue the tradition of having an ARRL affiliated club active in Pueblo, CO for nearly 80 years.<br><br>Our membership represents nearly all facets of the amateur radio hobby and related technologies.<br><br>The Pueblo Amateur Radio Club, Inc is growing with new educational opportunities and reaching out to existing amateurs to become involved again in all modes of communications.<br><br>The Pueblo Amateur Radio Club meets the second Monday of the month at 6:00 PM at the Pueblo County Emergency Services Center 101 W. 10th St. Pueblo, subject to change.

FFMSOG is a great Non Profit Ministry with a heart for others. Shares a great passion for those in need in many areas of life. FFMSOG is a new ministry to the community but has a great desire to bring community events together to build and bridge families, people, and children to a better place in life and restoration. Your support is well needed and will be put to great use. Right now we are in process of opening up Food Pantry for the community. We are also doing events for children quarterly as funds permit.

I donate what I can to Helping Heroes Fly (www.helpingheroesfly.com) because it provides a service to our active military personnel that many people don't know is needed. I certainly didn't until my sister and her friend started this non-profit in January. Our military is responsible for our freedom and defending our safety, and yet many enlisted service men and women do not earn enough money to support themselves or a family, much less pay for airfare home, often very expensive last-minute emergency tickets. Helping Heroes Fly enables these selfless men and women to be home for births, weddings, holidays, and sadly deaths when they otherwise would not be able to be with family during those important times. In 10 short months, this non-profit has already purchased 45 tickets to get our heroes home, at no cost to the soldier. I am not able to give a lot, but give what I can when we can afford it. What I CAN do is help set up fundraisers that benefit Helping Heroes Fly, and write a quick paragraph on why I think they deserve to win this money. I hope you choose Helping Heroes Fly as your recipient because our military has chosen US to protect. Let's return that appreciation.

I have been working as a volunteer for The ReStore, for almost two years, and for my experience hear, I have learned a lot about warehouse expectations, and what a non profit organization is about.

I have met and watched how Christine has worked very hard to help her children to become the best, and to give them an experience of their life.

Great organization that gives away hundreds of thousands of dollars of care to those without health insurance each year. They also have a community bereavement program that helps anyone in the community that has experienced a loss. They have camps across southern Colorado that support kids & teens who have lost a loved one as well.

On July 5th two representatives of Christlife Ministries, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization made contact with my Mother in the most disrespectful and belittling way they found possible. The female representative who claimed to be a good Christian woman stared down her nose as she not only accused my Mother of wrong doing but also insulted my Mother’s appearance, a Cancer Survivor, a woman who had been disabled for many years before her full mastectomy, a woman who is taking sole care of one of her granddaughter in spite of her health limitations, a woman who lives on a small fixed income with no transportation, a woman who daily gives her troubles to God only to be treated horribly by a woman who claims to do God’s work. <br><br>I am asking that your staff, your community representation take training and or classes on not only etiquette but customer service. Our family has not been able to properly grieve as your establishment made their demands to clean out my deceased Brother-In-Law Donald DeCrow’s belongings; a man who died in his bed at your facility, just so his “bed could be filled”. This was Christlife Ministries representative’s only concern? A man who was denied proper health care and subsequently died in your facility. Donald was no saint; he was a man, a human being, a child of Christ! Donald was blessed to have found your program as he began his last attempt as a positive member of society. He left behind his wife (my sister) who is currently incarcerated and his only child, my niece a beautiful six year old girl who only knew her father to be the man who hugged her tight and loved her unconditionally. <br><br>Donald’s unexpected death has not been easy for my Mother. My husband a decorated Veteran after 24 years in the Army, myself a highly recognized community volunteer and Fraud Auditor and our six successful children live in the state Washington, we are unable to make an emergency trip to Colorado to help her ensure your facility was cleaned out properly. We are beyond disgusted with the tone your 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization has handled not only the passing of Donald but the treatment of his only family. My mother had to shield my niece from your representatives as she is six and does not need a woman preaching the word of God to act the complete opposite. My niece is innocent and still unaware the choices of her parents have landed her an extended vacation at her Nana’s!<br><br>I intend to share our story with anyone in Southern Colorado who will listen to ensure no other family member ever goes through the gross mistreatment my Mother experienced. Please educate your staff on customer service, etiquette and proper interactions. Remember when claiming to be Christ like your actions speak louder than any advertisement or propaganda you use to fill the beds of your establishment!

The Pueblo Community College Foundation is so important, to not only the Pueblo Community College, but to the community. As a past volunteer I have had the opportunity to witness the extensive altruism of those involved, a template for the community of selflessness and dedication to a cause. I have learned to "Pay it forward" as well as the rewards involved in giving to others. I have become a strong advocate of higher Education learned from my involvement with the Foundation. One of the major highlights of my college experience was selection as a Student Speaker for the Pueblo Community College Foundation Donor Appreciation dinner. It was a true honor to address so many that have done so much for the advancement of education by providing students with support for their academic dreams. It showed me the importance of support for the community. <br>As a former scholar I have experienced firsthand what a difference their help can make in a pursuit of an education. The housing market went south about the same time I fell in love with the woman of my dreams. Construction opportunities changed for me; I soon learned that some facets of construction are limited by age. The physical aspect of working an entry level job was really not an option. Then my fiancée encouraged me to look beyond what I was used to and try to discover a new beginning. Her encouragement led me to Pueblo Community College (PCC) and enrollment in the 2012 -2013 school year and a decision to immerse myself in the college experience and go full time by cutting expenses and establishing a new lifestyle. Thus, my fiancé and I suspended our plans to marry until I graduated; we tightened our belts and jumped feet first. From the first day of classes I rode my bicycle from Pueblo West to PCC, a sixteen-mile trip one way; a ride I made every day for two years, back and forth, in all types of weather: record heat over 100 degrees, wind, rain, smoke as well as temperatures cold enough to freeze the water in my bottle. My tenacity came from knowing that this is a commitment that had the support of not only my fiancé and myself, but with the financial assistance of a scholarship, it showed me that there were people in the community who shared and supported my dream. Support that helped me to keep my goal in sight and with endless encouragement, I carried on. <br>Finally as a former student work/study for the foundation I had the opportunity to see how their help can affect the lives of students. Be it a scholarship to help a young mother to afford daycare or financial assistance to afford gas to attend school. I witnessed what is the best in people by meeting both donors and scholars and how a community can come together to help each other grow. I learned we need people to lead by example and I strived continually to do so, graduating from Pueblo Community College with an Associate of General Studies degree in Computer Information Systems and a 3.83 GPA. I am a non-traditional student at the age of 54, yet I am so proud to see how I have influenced those around me. I will be graduating to Colorado State University-Pueblo this spring in Computer Information Systems with every intention of working as a Computer Systems Analyst in the future. Accomplishing this will be testament to the American dream, demonstrating by example that it is alive and well; proving that with hard work and dedication dreams can still come true. <br>The Pueblo Community College Foundation allowed me to focus on my goal of a degree and to take classes that enhanced that goal. I was able to obtain the resources I needed to succeed and to make a dream come true. <br>

Terrorize patients on a regular basis by failing to provide meds-decent housing-playing head games ect. Hired a man that had a record of domestic violence. Suspect substance abuse problems with therapists and social workers. Worst rated hud apartments on 10 st that Spanish Peaks owns proves that the company is inept with all housing matters. Patients beg for money as their Payee program leaves them with no money for food or transportation or decent clothing. Inhumane treatment.

I have worked with Ellis and Peggi for over a year and half and know that their heart is for the lost and hurting. Through their Ministry His Song Evangelistic Outreach they have help me with a ministry to women that have been released from prison with aftercare, Bible study and Horse Therapy. They have been a great support to God's Ministry and I believe God will reward those that keep their eyes on the Lord and do what God calls them to do for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God's Blessings and Favor is upon His Song Evangelistic Outreach Ministries!!!!! Let the Lord be Glorified!!!

The Pueblo Rescue Mission (formerly known as Wayside Cross Gospel Rescue Mission) is a place that cares for those of us who need a hand-up instead of a hand-down.... We need to raise awareness about our only local homeless shelter here in pueblo county...not only is it a warm place to eat and sleep at night, its also a prayer answered for those men/woman with Jesus in their sights...Volunteer or Donate food/men and women clothing by walk-in as I do every know and then....ask yourself this,"what if it was you" -VRA <br>

"I just want to thank you for everything you do for us kids. There's not many people in my life who have done things for me. You have made this place a safe and comfortable place to live and get help. I admire you for all the work you've done for us. <br> <br>When I was little, I never really had a place to call home or someone to love and care for me and tell me everything's gonna be alright. You and your staff have given me that and the chance to get better, a hope for a brighter future and a temporary place to call home. <br> <br>I've been in foster homes since I was four, and always dreaded coming home because I didn't know what to expect when I got home. Now I am greeted with side-hugs and the words, how was your day. So, thank you for doing that for me. I'm sure all the other kids who did well in your program would say the same things. The McClelland Children's Foundation, McClelland School, is a great non profit worthy of everyone's support. The education children receive at the independent school is excellent. I have had my children at McClelland for 3 years now and have nothing but great things to say: teachers are great, community is great. I recommend the school to everyone. <br>

The impact the YMCA of Pueblo has on our community is profound. The stories of the families they are helping were so touching. I know the money thats raised goes toward the greater good of our community and the people in it.

Second Change has been so wonderful to me - they gladly accepted the two injured birds that I found - even though I know that resources are tight. They are a great organization serving a big need in Colorado. I honestly don't know where else in the state I would take injured wildlife.

The Pueblo Goodwill has been decomissioned and can no longer carry the Goodwill brand. This was the consequence of bad management and the CEO's shady accounting practices.
