Mission: Prosalud is a non-profit community based health education program serving several of houston's medically underserved and economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. Prosalud trains promotoras (community health workers) to provide health information, education, access to health programs and intervention in a linguistically correct and culturally relevant way that enables people to make sound, factually-based decisions about their and their children's health.
Programs: Prosalud participates in community events, research grants, education classes and office hours for assisting clients in applications for health services, referrals to low cost clinics and education. Approximately 2776 individuals have been served with health information and access in addition to recruiting, education sessions and follow-up for the grant research.

Prosalud in partnership with safe kids greater houston provides certified car seat technicians and staff for teaching child safety classes and assist in free car seat events to teach how to properly install child car and booster seats. Approximately 312 parents and children have participated in classes and events.
