Mission: The producers guild of america foundation's core mission is to educate, promote and expand opportunities for those who work in the producing profession. Among the guild's major initiatives supported by the foundation are the annual produced by conferences and the make your mark short film competition.
Programs: The produced by conferences take place in los angeles for two days in june and in new york for one day in october. Each conference reaches across film, television and new media. The conferences are an educational forum conducted by acclaimed producers, including numerous oscar and emmy award-winners, as well as the next generation of creative entrepreneurs. The conferences are created by producers, for producers and feature a broad range of educational programming, including educational seminars, mentoring roundtables, workshops, demos and networking events. No other event gives producers so many opportunities to learn from top storytellers and decision-makers in the entertainment industry.
the team that oversees the producers guild of america green production guide aswell as the green committee, maintains a website offering up-to-the-minute information designed to help members achieve a sustainable production. It serves as an informational clearing house for everything members need to "green" their production, from an international interactive vendor list to best practices and each studio's green guidelines. The green committee is leading the charge toward environmentally-friendly productions world-wide.
