Causes: Family Planning, Health, Reproductive Rights
Mission: Next step womens center provides medical, educational, and individualized care that equips women and their partners to make informed decisions related to their pregnancy and sexual health.
Programs: Client services - during 2017, we had 760 client visits. All services are provided free-of-charge and include consultation with the client regarding available options, healthy sexual relationships, std health risks and option of secondary abstinence. An abortion recovery program is offered to post-abortive women to find a path of healing. The value of services and material goods donated to the community in 2017 is $40,242.
educational services - during 2017, prenatal and parenting education was provided to 242 clients totaling 940 client visits. All classes are offered at no charge and are designed to equip clients with knowledge, practical skills and emotional support as they progress through their pregnancy and parenting journey. Additionally, sexual risk avoidance programs were provided to 2,661 local students in grades 6 to 12. The value of these educational programs and material goods provided to the community in 2017 was $70,466.
medical services - all medical services are provided free-of-charge and performed under the license of a local, board-certified, ob/gyn. In 2017, pregnancy tests were provided to 760 clients. Sonograms were performed on 501 clients to confirm intra-uterine pregnancy, fetal heart motion and expected delivery date. Prenatal vitamins were provided to 418 clients. During 2017, the value of medical services and material goods provided to the community totaled $243,352.
