This group held a Summer Club in Germantown, Md. for 9 weeks 2018. First thru sixth graders from low income families were able to put their children in an excellent setting, with many volunteers/staff. Offered to 30 children, ages 6 thru 14, was a safe, fun and learning haven while their parent(s) worked. Included in this 9 week program the children were given breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. The children enjoys lots of activites, sports, games, fun reading and speaking, life skills, professional speakers, magician and trip to the movies. All staff acted in a professional caring and positive example for the children. Families and participants were greatly satisfied and look forward to Summer Club 2019.

This group has reached out to the youth and seniors in the Germantown Md area, it has also service Hispanic youth in Gaithersburg, however I would love to see this group provide more frequent workshops and programs. The groups president works almost alone without any funding or grants. I love to volunteer to watch the excitement and appreciation from participants.
