Mission: To promote, support and produce experimental chamber opera
Programs: Major activities for overtone industries in 2017during 2017 overtone industries focused on developing our new opera/theatre piece, icelano, the hidden world. We had a writing retreat for the writercomposers and mapped out the re-writes we'll be completing in 2018. We began work on a new piece, cynosemma, with the new non-profit group by the souls of our feet. This is set to perform august 10-19, 2018 at son of semele. We continued our partnering with art division by participating in their fundraising event in november. We met monthly with our dedicated board of directors and created a successful winter mail and email fundraiser to raise funds toward the hiring of a managing director that will be matched by an anonymous donor. Michelle magaldi continues to work as overtone's producing director. She not only oversees our productions, we meet weekly to plan for the care of the whole organization. Michelle has worked on all of overtone's productions since 2010 and is currently manager of production and tech at la opera.
