Programs: The 2017-2018 season marked the end of music director, allen gross' tenure with the orchestra. After an intense search roger kalia was selected as orchestra santa monica's new music director. He is also assistant conductor with the pacific symphony, music director - pacific symphony youth orchestra, andco-founder & music director - lake george music festival. At his final performance, maestro gross conducted kurt weill's symphony no. 2. This is a seldom performed master work and was underwritten in part by the kurt weill foundation. Osm continued its partnership with smash (santa monica alternative school house) and its parents, students and teachers. Santa monica youth orchestra members attending concerts and boys and girls club of santa monica provided front of house services.
