Mission: One Heart, Many Rhythms is an international organization that works in partnership with first peoples of the world to conserve and express the traditions of their cultures. The primary focus of One Heart, Many Rhythms is to provide assistance for young adults from indigenous cultures to continue their education beyond primary school in order to prepare for occupations such as teachers, nurses, and physicians. Having local community members provide these services can greatly enhance the quality of life in indigenous communities, and the education of the next generation of children is a key to conserving their languages, culture, and practices. We will also provide assistance for schools in indigenous communities to use for supplies, equipment, and furnishings. A secondary focus of One Heart, Many Rhythms is to help indigenous communities conserve the unique nature of their cultural expression. We will support projects that help communities preserve their traditions of music, dance, art, and ceremony. We will also provide assistance for reclaiming and rebuilding sites that are sacred to indigenous communities as well as support those communities that make pilgrimages to these sacred sites. Whenever possible, One Heart, Many Rhythms will provide assistance to indigenous communities in areas where they identify the greatest need. This could mean supporting the infrastructure needs of the community for clean water or basic medical care.
