Also I experienced development in my qualities such as empathy, understanding and listening. I was able to help people with knowledge I had and they were really happy.I felt great about it . Also I was able to meet many people and learned a lot things with them . Overall I am really happy of my experience and encourage others to join.

I used the non profit to have my taxes completed. I can’t express my gratitude. The patience the volunteers have is tremendous I am legally blind and the patience is crucial. This is a great service with wonderful volunteers. Thank you united way!

The United Way of Cass County continues to grow and evolve to fit the ever changing needs of our community. From vetting and funding reputable programs and agencies to partner with to funding one off needs, the United Way of Cass County does a great job in stewarding the dollars donated to the community. In addition to responsibly managing the dollars, the United Way of Cass County continues to find and manage hundreds of qualified and talented volunteers that make a big difference in making a positive impact in our community.

No warrior without help was such a major help to us. We had multiple utilities about to be shut off and rent due and we were behind. They are so amazing and it is wonderful that they can do that to help. I know we are appreciative.

The Lewis & Clark Foundation helps a lot of Montana school kids get extended educational programing in history and the natural sciences. They also raise funds for the Interpretive Center for all sorts of things.

Now, Sofkin feels like a family to me. <br> <br>The unique aspect of Sofkin is its homely environment, nutritious meals, individualized care, and constant encouragement for the kids to pursue their dreams. I've seen some of the Sofkin children now leading successful lives, working in MNCs, and even living in the US. <br> <br>As a parent, I often struggle to manage just one child, yet Chaya effortlessly nurtures and guides all the children. They adore her and share a special bond with her. <br> <br>Thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend time with these wonderful kids—it’s truly inspiring.

Harts of Teal is a support group that genuinely cares about others. This nonprofit is an incredible blessing to me and so many others.

WhyHunger has stayed true to its mission for going on 50 years, and always stays operationally lean as to maximize impact.

I have been honored to volunteer for this amazing organization for the past two years. I have never met such an incredible group of people and their commitment to giving back to the community.

United Midcoast Charities has been an invaluable resource for our community and continues to be an integral part of mission success for a multitude of non-profit organizations. In addition to providing grant support, they engender connections between other non-profits, and they promote ongoing learning for professionals seeking additional resources for their respective agencies. They recently held a well-organized and executed learning session for local grantees that greatly enhanced understanding related to accessing additional funding resources. UMC also provides hands on support by offering staff assistance as well as their organizational access to funding resource platforms. They are a joy to work with.

Make no mistake, the Norfolk Rescue Mission is a business, mostly like any other business, but with the "non profit" tax breaks & label to hide behind.<br><br>The Rescue Mission's product is the supposed "word of God", via their mere interpretation of that "word".<br>And they hold their interpretation over the heads of those seeking assistance.<br><br>The Norfolk Rescue Mission has a firm policy that men & women are not allowed even to talk to one another (their own staff exempt from that dictate, of course), and not even when away from the Mission premises.<br>Yep, apparently the "Christian faith", in their eyes, means you must ignore members of the opposite sex.<br>Thou shalt be rude?<br><br>As per IRS Form 990 tax filings, the Norfolk Rescue Mission took in $598,000 in 2023, with at least $441,833 of that going just towards staff salaries.<br>The highest paid Pastor made $71,041 that year, in a town where the average salary is only $47,346/yr.<br><br>WWJD?<br>Apparently, seek greater personal wealth.<br><br>Nothing but hypocrites.<br><br>Beyond that, the place is overwhelmingly dirty & disgusting.<br>Unkempt, dirty, unsanitary, etc.

They research cancer radical fighting teas, assist with educational projects and researching ways for medical services improvements on the Island of Puerto Rico. Researching why the doctors on the island are autonomous and are not liable for any medical treatments or lack there off. <br>This non profit is actually a well rounded chariatable organization.

Today Pikes Peak United Way (PPUW) is a thriving organization serving our community in many ways. From 2-1-1 offering free, confidential resources to over 30,000 residents a year, to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library sending books to over 7300 children a month, our focus is Youth Success and Family Stability. Having recently opened a Family Success Center in Southeast Colorado Springs, which offers Care and Share's Sunnyside Market, Harrison School District 2's Adult Education programming, Colorado Springs Sports Corporation's YES Program and much more, our goal is to provide job opportunities, family assistance and a place where southeast residents can find compassion, hope and resources. We currently serve over 300 families a week. In addition, through a partnership with Care and Share and School District 11, we provide food to hungry families through a mobile food distribution every other Thursday at Mitchell High School. Nearly 400 families are served with fresh fruit, vegetables, protein, bread, rice and beans. Pikes Peak United Way has established strong partnerships with our City and County government, as well as the Office of Emergency Management to prepare for natural disasters and catastrophic events. Residents in the Pikes Peak region can depend on PPUW to be there for all who call El Paso and Teller County home. Our Board of Directors are some of the most influential leaders in our community. They are involved and engaged, offering their time and talent to continue to build a strong, effective United Way.

Working as a graphic designer for Giving Forward Nonprofit was a truly rewarding experience. It was fulfilling to contribute my design skills to a company whose mission is making a positive difference in the lives of others. Collaborating with a team dedicated to such meaningful work added great depth and purpose to my design process, and seeing the impact of my designs in relation to their mission was incredibly gratifying. Overall, designing for Giving Forward Nonprofit was a fulfilling and inspiring experience that I would gladly repeat.

Gladney is an intricate part of the "Triangle of Love." Birthmom, child, and adoptive parents are supported with love and dignity. Gladney is a source of strength and hope for so many, with resources available to succeed now and in the future. We have been a proud Gladney family for 34 years!

As a new family to the area, I liked the idea of being able to fund vetted nonprofits. There are so many groups in need. This is a great way to help projects that matter to the community and that you know are making a difference, not just taking your money. Once I joined the board, I learned even more and am in love with the way Kerr County United Way is organized and the way the money is valued not just spent.

In February 2013, this amazing rescue sanctuary took in seven special needs cats from a foster home that was closing. Having been one of the transporters that delivered the kitties from NJ, I was honored to visit this amazing facility. The cats are adored and thriving AND the humans are kind and hospitable. With places to climb, scratch and explore - including catios - this is a dream for unadoptable pets to ENJOY life AND be safe. This impressive rescue is beyond amazing!! I volunteered at a United Way sponsored Food Giveaway this year and I was shocked. The need in La Porte County is very much real and without a local United Way these people who not receive food and other needs. I highly encourage you to put yourself in the shoes of those in need by volunteering and supporting United Way.

Leadership on the Jewish Philanthropies of Southern Arizona Board of Directors has been rewarding. The organization does a great job of building a stronger Jewish community in Southern Arizona and connecting donors with causes they care about. There are lots of opportunities for the organization to grow and make a greater impact. I have been a direct beneficiary of their young leadership development program and made several amazing friends through the program.
