Mission: ObiNkaBi Development Collective, founded in January 2000, is a research and development organization committed to advancing a higher quality of life for African Americans. ObiNkaBi works to investigate and evaluate decisions, programs and systems that affect the human capacity. With community input ObiNkaBi forwards culturally infused models and strategies. ObiNkaBi has identified seven major areas that impact the capacity of African Americans: education, the environment, youth and family development, health and well being, sustainable development, community-based initiatives and work/career development. ObiNkaBi's goal is to educate the public while affecting change in the quality of life for African Americans.
