Mission: The Mission of Start A Snowball is the pursuit of the following principles: • Service: It is the responsibility of everyone, and if each one of us can help the world around us the world would be a much better place. • Possibility: It is possible for one person to make an enormous difference through a seemingly small effort to help someone. These actions can have long lasting and broad reaching ripples. • Support: Through offering resources and community we can empower youth to make huge impacts. • Growth: As we teach children about serving others we can create a movement that can influence a generation to become a generation of givers.

Results: We have supported the community service passions of kids around the country and given them grants to support their projects. Through these projects kids are learning what it is to give, and the power that they have to change the world. We are helping to build the next generation of givers.

Direct beneficiaries per year: Kids around the country follow their passion to help others with inspiration and funding for their own community service projects

I set up a program to collect hygiene kits to be distributed to kids that need them at my school. Thank you so much for helping me get established and on my way to becoming a 501c3

I applied and was given for a grant to finish my project of collecting blankets and stuffed animals for Project Night Night. With that grant I was able to purchase additional blankets and paid for the shipping of the huge box. We were able to help to make at least 50 care packages for homeless children. Thank you Start A Snowball, Inc. for granting me this!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to apply for a grant. It is because of your generosity that I am going to be able to continue to make my coloring kits for doctor's offices and schools. My Mom is a teacher and a single parent, so without your generous donation I would not have had the money to continue to buy the materials to create my kits. I have seen my mother apply for grants for her classroom, so I was so excited when I found out that that there was a place that gave children like me the chance to apply for a grant too. I hope that with your help I can make people more aware of how to prevent bullying. Thank you again so much! You can learn more about my anti-bullying campaign at www.emmasbecomebrave.com
THANK YOU for helping me help others.

Thanks for allowing my 7 years old realizing his dream of being an agent of change. He applied for the grant to help purchase board games for his school for winter indoor recess. It happened he did it. He was so happy and excited now he wants to do more for his community.

As part of their b'nai mitzvah, my children wanted to do a mitzvah project. My requirement was that they could not ask people for money. They resourcefully applied for a grant from Start a Snowball and were thrilled when they got it! They got a treasure chest and filled it with prizes for the kids at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. This will be something that they can refill over and over again. We will take pictures when we deliver it!

What a fabulous way for young people to get a hand-up with their philanthropy and service projects. My 12 year old applied and was absolutely thrilled to have been awarded this grant. It enabled him to continue what was already a successful project collecting dvd's and video games for the local Children's Hospital. In addition, he was also able to donate movies to a local family shelter. It bolstered his self esteem and has made him even more determined to pay it forward! Start A Snowball, Inc. is an amazing non profit that deserves to be recognized as a steppingstone to continued greatness for kids!

I found this link on Facebook and decided to have my son apply for the grant since he is working on his Eagle Project for the Boy Scouts of America. My son Tyler will be making 200 no-sew blankets and donating gently used books and magazines all wrapped up for the holidays. I am very impressed with Start a Snowball ' s generosity and quick response. Thank you for helping my son reach his goal of $4000. It is truly amazing to have organizations who specifically help kids. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.
Love,

Start a Snowball helped me gather much need supplies that were donated through my foundation that helps support Foster Children in WV. With their help I was able to help impact so many foster kids as they started their school year. As a teenager I was worried that non-profits may not support my cause but Start a Snowball supported snd I can not wait to do more projects!!
