I applied and was given for a grant to finish my project of collecting blankets and stuffed animals for Project Night Night. With that grant I was able to purchase additional blankets and paid for the shipping of the huge box. We were able to help to make at least 50 care packages for homeless children. Thank you Start A Snowball, Inc. for granting me this!
Thank you so much for the opportunity to apply for a grant. It is because of your generosity that I am going to be able to continue to make my coloring kits for doctor's offices and schools. My Mom is a teacher and a single parent, so without your generous donation I would not have had the money to continue to buy the materials to create my kits. I have seen my mother apply for grants for her classroom, so I was so excited when I found out that that there was a place that gave children like me the chance to apply for a grant too. I hope that with your help I can make people more aware of how to prevent bullying. Thank you again so much! You can learn more about my anti-bullying campaign at www.emmasbecomebrave.com
THANK YOU for helping me help others.
Thanks for allowing my 7 years old realizing his dream of being an agent of change. He applied for the grant to help purchase board games for his school for winter indoor recess. It happened he did it. He was so happy and excited now he wants to do more for his community.
As part of their b'nai mitzvah, my children wanted to do a mitzvah project. My requirement was that they could not ask people for money. They resourcefully applied for a grant from Start a Snowball and were thrilled when they got it! They got a treasure chest and filled it with prizes for the kids at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. This will be something that they can refill over and over again. We will take pictures when we deliver it!
What a fabulous way for young people to get a hand-up with their philanthropy and service projects. My 12 year old applied and was absolutely thrilled to have been awarded this grant. It enabled him to continue what was already a successful project collecting dvd's and video games for the local Children's Hospital. In addition, he was also able to donate movies to a local family shelter. It bolstered his self esteem and has made him even more determined to pay it forward! Start A Snowball, Inc. is an amazing non profit that deserves to be recognized as a steppingstone to continued greatness for kids!
My niece applied for a grant for her project and it was amazing when she got it!!! Thanks for making the youngs feel that someone cares about their dreams.
I found this link on Facebook and decided to have my son apply for the grant since he is working on his Eagle Project for the Boy Scouts of America. My son Tyler will be making 200 no-sew blankets and donating gently used books and magazines all wrapped up for the holidays. I am very impressed with Start a Snowball ' s generosity and quick response. Thank you for helping my son reach his goal of $4000. It is truly amazing to have organizations who specifically help kids. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

Start a Snowball helped me gather much need supplies that were donated through my foundation that helps support Foster Children in WV. With their help I was able to help impact so many foster kids as they started their school year. As a teenager I was worried that non-profits may not support my cause but Start a Snowball supported snd I can not wait to do more projects!!
Start a Snowball is the most meaningful non-profit I have been involved with. It is an honor and pleasure to serve on the Board. Start a Snowball gives seed money grants to children who want to start their own community service project. Theses grants enable the kids to turn an idea and a desire to help into an action plan. Watching these children's ideas snowball is incredibly rewarding. Start a Snowball is living up to their mission of building a generation of givers.
Thank you Start A Snowball for supporting my project Empowering Students Around The World! The grant funds will go to providing STEM education on tablets for underprivileged youth.
NERDS RULE INC. is a non-profit organization for teens and young adults dealing with suicide, bullying, domestic violence and we created a rehab program. We hope that we can use there assists in the future projects because they came through for us when we needed them.
Start A Snowball helped third grade students at Brookview Elementary School ignite a winter community service projects in which they collected and purchased over 600 new hats and gloves to children in need. Donations were given to the Indianapolis Children's Bureau!
With the grant, our students were able to make a difference in the lives of children! Thanks Start A Snowball!
Start A Snowball is awesome! My son received a grant that helped him create and donate over 100 cards to hospitalized children. It's so wonderful to know that there are people out there to encourage the next generation to do good!
Thank you so much for the grant. I'm super excited to help my middle school kids learn how to make blankets, scarves and hats for the homeless in our community, but more importantly to teach them about service to others.
Thank you to Start a Snowball Inc as they gave me $100 USD to help with my project called '2 Pairs Each'. I am 9 years old and I am from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I have started collecting and distributing 2 pairs socks to every homeless person in Victoria. In just the first month, I have collected and distributed 325 pairs of socks. I am learning so much about homelessness. Thank you so much Start a Snowball, Inc. From Josh Berry
This great organization helped our own get started. We will always be grateful for their generosity. Thank you!
I received one of the first Start a Snowball grants, and I will always be grateful to Start a Snowball for supporting me and my anti-bullying work. Thanks to Start a Snowball, I was able to facilitate programs in middle school classrooms in rural Arizona.
In all of my interactions with Start a Snowball, I have been nothing short of impressed by their dedication to inspiring young people to be the change that they want to see in the world. Start a Snowball is, in my mind, one of the few organizations that truly walks their talk.
Many thanks to Start a Snowball for all that they have done for me, and continue to do for young people across the country.
