Causes: Neighborhood & Block Associations
Mission: The northeast bronx association (neba) was formed to preserve and improve the quality of life and promote harmony within the community. We are a non-profit, volunteer based organization consisting of concerned residents. Most of our members are senior citizens.
Programs: 1. Neba holds monthly meetings at which senior's are updated on issues affecting the community by guest speakers such as elected representatives, nypd officers, health care representatives, etc. The seniors have an opportunity to present any concerns they have. Expenses incurred include printing newsletter, phone, email service, website hosting and usps services. 2. Neba also provides the senior's with access to information of interest to them in a monthly print newsletter, via email, and via the neba website. Expenses incurred include printing, postage, website hosting and email. 3. Neba sponsors senior's social events, such as luncheons, where the seniors select venues to visit. Expenses include payment for luncheons.
