Programs: Pharmacological management - services include initial or update psychiatric evaluations, basic medical examination on a recurring basis as well as observation and interview of the patient in support of determining medical necessity in the prescription of medication to control or mitigate the symptoms of one or more indentified mental health diagnoses. In fiscal year 2017 the nord center provided approximately 9,764 hours of pharmacological management to approximately 2,809 patients.

emergency stabilization services (ess): these programs provide multiple comprehensive services to de-escalate potential serious mental health situations. The nord center provides a county-wide 24-hour a day, 7 days a week crisis hotline, manned by personnel trained in suicide prevention. The center also provides trained assessment clinicians who will go anywhere in the county to provide emergency assessments at the behest of the patient, family, friends or law enforcement. Once assessed, the clinician can then render an opinion as to whether the client is safe where he/she is, needs to to come to our 12-bed inpatient crisis stabilization unit which is staffed by medical personnel, or needs to be placed in a mental institution. The nord center also provides 7 days a week partial hospitalization. Partial hospitalization is basically a 3 hour group therapy session for those who require on-going daily therapy. In fiscal year 2017, the nord center answered over 12,726 hotline calls, performed approximately 2,331 emergency assessments, admitted 281 patients to our crisis stabilization unit and provided partial hospitalization for an average of 13 patients per day for 365 days.

residential services - a supportive housing environment for various levels of care from independent living to group homes to two staffed and licensed provider homes. The nord center provided approximately 39,055 days of safe and secure housing for an average of 107 clients in fiscal year 2017.
