Mission: The mission of the new york state reliability council (nysrc) is to promote and preserve the reliability of the new york state power system.
Programs: The significant activities or responsibilities of the nysrc are to establish and maintain reliability rules that govern the operation of new york state's bulk power system, monitor compliance with the reliability rules by the new york independent system operator and all entities engaged in transactions on the new york state power system, and establish statewide resource installed capacity requirements for the new york state power system.
