This place is all heart and a little bit of heaven for animals and people alike. The horses are loved on and cared for. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. I love the sanctuary part of this place. Animals who were discarded by others have found a forever home here, whether they are rideable or not. Now that to me defines horsemanship. When you enter the gates of Dreamcatchers the cares of the world are left on the other side of the gate. It's not a perfect place, no place is, but this one comes pretty close. It is my home away from home.

DreamCatcher Horse Ranch and Rescue is the most amazing place. The horses are loved and so well taken care of. The owners Alie and Loran Wheatley are so dedicated to all the animals. Medical cases are their speciality- horses that may have been put down or discarded are here enjoying life and flourishing. I love DreamCatcher Horse Ranch and Rescue.

If you are wanting something for you and your family this is the place to go. They have trail rides, you can even take lessons.
Or pony rides for your little ones. If you not wanting any of that you can have a barn tour and get to know the residents (Horses, donkeys goats and more. Bring carrots and apples because they love them. So if this sounds good you should take a ride over . I know I’m going to keep going back .

I have been going to DreamCatcher Horse Ranch and Rescue for nine years. Every year, DreamCatcher does more and more to help horses in need, having a tremendous success rate in rehabilitating these beautiful, deserving animals, with the help of volunteers and donations. DreamCatcher gives them purpose, again. The horses are administered the best of veterinary care, special diets, and lots of love and attention to go with it. This haven is a must see when in the area. Go meet all of the outstanding fur babies, there! (and some feathered ones, too!) DreamCatcher, truly, is an amazing, place, making miracles and magic happen for all the equine, other animals, and humans, alike. DreamCatcher Horse Ranch and Rescue is definitely a special place, that make dreams come true, for all.

My daughter has been taking riding lessons at Dreamcatcher for over 2 years and as she's gotten older, she also volunteers on the weekends and during the summers. The people there are extremely friendly and caring, and make you feel welcome. The trainer, Karina, truly cares for the kids and the horses, and my daughter has learned so much. We appreciate all that they do, for the horses (as well as the other animals out there) and for the people who come to visit.

I first went to Dreamcatcher Horse Ranch and Rescue center as a patron for a trail ride. I enjoyed it so much, I started going weekly. In less than a year, I loved it so much and from all the fantastic work and love I saw with all the horses, I became a volunteer. Four years later and I still love it. The horses are so well cared for and all the people I have met, I consider my friends. It's also a joy to meet many people from all over the country and other countries who visit the ranch.

Dream Catcher rescue is top notch. My Daughters have both adopted their horses from them . The owners do great work . Our daughter palamino shiloh was saved from a kill pin auction. When he first arrived at the barn , he had multiple sores and was extemely underweight. They named him Shiloh because he was a sad shy little horse. He would stand by himself with his head hung low. We dont know his story before he me to Dream catcher but he is a great horse. I cant even imagine that someone would send him to slaughter. We are so glad that Dream cathcher was able to save him and we are able give him a forever home. He is a much happier horse and I think he realizes how much he is loved.

I lost my sister my best friend to cancer suddenly and I found no purpose in each day. Then one day my family pushed me to go to DreamCatcher Horse Rescue. My life changed that day and that Ranch and those horses rescued me. This is my slice of heaven. I love the atmosphere which is always positive and I love everyone who comes there. Most of all I love all the animals that live on the Ranch. They greet you each day with expectations of getting some hugs and love from you and they turn any frowns upside down. The energy is electric with love and positive energy. When one comes in it is hard to believe they can make it sometimes. But we know our job is to let them know we will fight with them to fulfill a promise to make them whole again. They know, they have that look in their eyes of trust again. My favorite has been Dusty and he almost did not make it. But I never let him feel alone and I loved him so much. Dusty made it and he went to a forever home with lots of love there and a big pasture to romp in. You need to see him now he is so happy and such a proud boy.

My girls have always wanted to ride horses. My oldest daughter Haylie did some research and found DreamCatcher Horse and Rescue online. We made the call, booked her her first riding lesson and we were hooked. Within one year of being at the ranch we have fell head over heels for these horses and everything that DreamCatcher stands for. We even went as far as adopting one of there rescues. It’s simply amazing the love and care they give here. When a new horse arrives you can see in there eyes that they know they are now safe and will be taken care of, and simply loved on. We volunteer all our time for the love of these horses. Everyone is so friendly, Knowledgeable, and helpful. What they have started here 13 years ago at DreamCatcher Horse and Rescue is nothing short of beautiful and awesomeness!!

Dreamcatcher even made a wonderful day, at no cost, to my littlest grandson, before cancer got the best of him. We treasure the photo of him riding a pony. He was SO proud of Himself!!

What an absolute out of this world place. I have traveled the world, have swam with whale sharks and hung out with penguins in Cape Town. And out of all these places, the Dreamcatcher has a piece of my heart. The owners, the clients and volunteers all have some truly amazing stories of the wonderful animals they rescue and care for each and every day. The horses are so breath taking you feel the shear power they have and see the love in there eyes, is one thing I shall cherish for the rest of my days , Alfie the Alpaca is one heck of a character aswell. A must when ever visiting Florida with out a doubt.

What a journey.. who would have known that when my husband and I visited Florida a few years ago, as he ran the Datona 1/2 marathon, my choice was to visit a horse rescue ... we found dreamcatchers! You see, I too rescued ny baby filly December 2012, she was only 7 months old, nobody wanted her... she was supposed to be a paint, she was born a beautiful lil sorrel with a big heart. As a horse kid, my parents did not allow a horse, but I still rode at local stables. Now, well into my 50s ahhh!!! Feeling like in my 20s Brandi, my lil filly, found me. She had a few years of weight gain and growth, but after some pretty intense training in 2016, we have now relocated from northern Michigan to Florida... after all how were we able to keep up our training over the winter in Mich !! When my husband and I first visited Dreamcatchers there was a tranquil peaceful accepting feeling and you know the animals are happy. And appreciate life... In so much, that we moved, and my horse 1200 miles with professional equine movers to dreamcatchers... I will always appreciate how Alli drove me out to meet my girl on the gator, so I could meet her off the truck! Yes. I wad a stressed out mess... Alli understood. My horse is currently boarded at dream catchers, and while there has been a transition from 36 acres of TA grass, to Florida terrain, the winter has been spectacular.. we love the people the volunteers the trail rides and the continued training, and no snow!! The vet the ferrier all fell right into place. Oh, did i mention that Alli as a realistate person? She helped us find our Florida home , with 10 acres near the Ocala forest, so my husband can trail run.. and one day I can bring Brandi home. Yes we have a barn! And grass! Dream catchers is a must see... everyone is welcoming, I must include Brandi, ha ha... she has the same name as my horse!! who manages the barns and feedings for the animals is a very hard worker, call her, or anyone there for a tour, lessons, even if you know little about horses, they will teach you..Allison will help you find the house and horse ..of your dreams.. awesome place! I live in upstate NY and was introduced to Dreamcatcher by a friend 2 years ago when I was there visiting. I have been back to visit several times now and am amazed by the place every time. A visit to Florida is never complete without a visit here. What they do for these animals is truly beyond anything I have ever seen. I recently made a decision to move to Florida and in looking for an apartment, one of the requirements for me was that it had to be within reasonable driving distance to Dreamcatcher. I never had an opportunity to have a horse of my own but certainly hope I am able to donate some time in helping out at Dreamcatcher in the near future.

To kick off Spring Break we decided to head to DreamCatcher Horse Ranch Rescue Center, there we were greeted by several of the staff members and a very loveable dog named Georgie, We proceeded on and were introduced to a beautiful horse named Champ , who by the way was a complete gentleman , Our tour guide for the day was Melodie she gave us some background history on the ranch and told us that each rescue has a unique story and the care and love that each animal gets. My daughter and her friend rode a couple of horses and had just the best time ever. There was quite a crowd that day but we were treated with much attention . I just love what they do here and without them, many horses would not survive. We enjoyed feeding various treats to all the horses and just fell in love with all of them. We will be returning in the near future

I volunteer whenever possible at Dreamcatcher's, this sanctuary for horses is like no other! Adrian and Alison Wheatley have gone above and beyond in providing a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for their horses. Every horse at Dreamcatcher's is given special attention, from grooming and having a clean stall, to seeing a Veterinarian and Farrier on a regular basis. Nutritional needs are also addressed for each horse. The Wheatley family are the kindest, most gracious 'horse people' you will ever meet. I am grateful to have found Dreamcatcher's and enjoy spending as much time as possible with such a wonderful organization, where there is truly hope for horses! Sandy B.

Not only does DreamCatcher rescue, rehabilitate and heal our equine friends they also train those horses that are able to be valuable members of the ranch while bringing much joy to both children and adults. Through DreamCatcher’s riding lessons, camps, Horse Clubs and other riding programs the rehabilitated horses are given a purpose and a job which besides the love, kisses and treats they absolutely love! I have two adopted beauties and would never move them from DreamCatcher because it feels like home, and, I know my guys are taken care of wonderfully!

My daughter bounced from one equestrian center to another... Once we found Dreamcatcher we have never left.

This is a family place with a great staff.

My daughter has progressed with her equestrian training and her skills with the animals increase with each lesson and camps.

We recommend this facility to anyone that is new to horses or experience equestrians who are looking for a new riding center.

The work with their rescues is out of this world. They have taken in horses on the brink of death and are now on their way to recovery.

The one that always gets me is the horse that was saved from the butcher auction. The horse was being sold for meat and was thankfully saved and rehabilitated by the staff at Dreamcatcher.

While staying in FL for the winter I was lucky enough to discover DreamCatcher. I partipated in the Love & Groom a horse activity they offer on Tuesdays. Juliette worked with me and she is a sweetheart. I took my daughter and grandaughter back for a fun festival the following Saturday. Everyone is super friendly, the horses are beautiful. The care shown to these lucky rescue horses, by Allison and all the volunteers, is so heart warming. Any visit to the ranch is a great hands on experience. If you get a chance to visit I highly recommend it.

I had the privilege of doing some community service work at the Dreamcatcher Horse ranch a few months back, I was pleased to have been able to work at the ranch and saw how they treated they're animals. The family that runs this ranch are very knowledgeable of the animals and spend a lot of time and effort to rehab abused and injured horses. They also have volunteers that are also knowledgeable of horses training and upkeep of the ranch. I would recommend this ranch to anyone that wants to learn how and about riding horses. I do know that it takes a very dedicated people to do what this ranch does. Most of the horses on the ranch are rescue animals, some worse than others but all are treated very well.

I found Dream Catchers when looking for a place to have a birthday party for my then 8 year old. We had an amazing time, we had a lot of children, the service and friendliness we got was truly a joy. For the large number of children we had, they all still got to ride and have a ton of fun.

I've also vol. for an event they had and enjoyed being there. We are actually moving back to Clermont next month and will be quite close to the facilities, we are planning on doing some more vol. work. What great work they do. The horses look amazing after all the love and care they receive from the time they arrive. Very heart warming...

I called and followed instructions for the day we were arriving and once there I ask for the person who was going to welcome us for the tour and rides but she never came to us and instead our welcoming was a grumpy lady complaining of too many people around the horses were disturbing and getting them nervous when in fact it was a new pig crying laud and because we weren't close to the animals at all. If the horses get nervous with visitors then the farm shouldn't be open to the public. The poor volunteer young ladies had to help out with the rides and tour even though they didn't know much about the animals. Over all the care for the animals is great but the staff needs to learn about customer care assistance!!

My mother planned this outing for my kids so we were excited to go since my daughter loves horses. The moment we arrived I did not get a welcoming feeling from the staff, at least not the adults. I do appreciate what the rescue center is doing for the horses who were poorly cared for before arriving at the center but I don't think it should be open for the public if they are not willing to be friendly and provide appropriate customer service. I appreciate the younger girls who assisted us, helped with our horse riding session and gave us a tour. Unfortunately I do not think I will be returning to this location. Just hope it goes better for the others who plan to visit.

I started volunteering at DreamCatcher ranch several months ago, and have really, REALLY enjoyed being around horses again. Being unemployed at this time in my life, I have no money, but LOTS of time, so I was happy to find a place that I could use my time to a great productive use. The horses that are being rescued are being given a wonderful new home where they are nourished and just being loved back to life. And the people that volunteer there are given that too... a place and a reason to feel good about their lives again. This is just a great place to work, ride, or just to hang out with the horses and the other people!

I'm a volunteer, donor and client served! This place is awesome! We drive over an hour each way, two, sometimes three days per week just to visit the ranch! My daughter takes lessons and I help out however I can. These horses have touched my heart. I have always loved animals but was never real comfortable with horses. A few years later, I suprise myself everytime I'm out there! Witnessing what the Wheatley Family does with their time and energy inspires me! I was never aware how how bad a shape and how unhealthy horses can get when neglected. Watching a skinny, sick, underweight, sometime blind horse come in and a few months and weeks later, watching that same horse, healthy and giving lessons to kids, amazes me!

There's nothing like it in Central Florida!

DreamCatcher Horse Ranch Rescue is a wonderful non-profit that provides a wonderful environment for its horses, visitors and volunteers. I came to DreamCatcher in March of 2011 with cancer. It was my goal to get back into riding. Not only did I gain a forever equine friend, Champ, but many other friends and family at DreamCatcher. Throughout my illness my weekly visits with Champ were/are a highlight. Soon I became envolved as a volunteer using my skills from helping the military through donations and events. Now my husband, Cary and I help DreamCatcher through the donated website, marketing and donation soliciation programs to help the horses of DreamCatcher. Our six year old daughter, Mackenzie has caught the love for horses through her visits at DreamCatcher and has a forever friend with pony, Buttercup. She is now riding with Little Girl and has learned so much about horses and other animals at DCHR. The Wheatley Family that started the rescue out of the goodness of their heart have not only touched the lives of so many horses, but people as well. Our family will continue our support of the horses and the rescue through our volunteer efforts for many years to come. I encourage you to come out to the various events or just call ahead for a barn tour...I am sure that the horses will touch your heart and have a special place with you and your family. DreamCatcher Horse Ranch and Rescue is a little bit of Heaven on Earth for horses and people alike. This non-profit organization is the best by far. DreamCatcher has so much to offer. They rescue these unfortunate horses, and give them the medical attention they need, and all the love they can handle. The transformations are almost unbelieveable. There is something about the horses that brings love and peace to us humans, as well. I highly recommend to make a point to visit this wonderful facility, get involved, and meet the wonderful owners and their horses. Book a tranquil trail ride, and make a day of it.
