Programs: Project independence - welfare-to-work on-the-job training program - trains young single mothers who are currently receiving public assistance in basic office and computer skills then places them in jobs outside of the organization. Provides support services and follow-up for 6 months after placement. Also includes staff development and training.
community capacity building programs - includes community development, international affairs, outreach, voter education, image enhancment & information decemination. Includes crime victims programs, legal services; assistance to victims or witnesses to crime; anti-crime campaigns; organizing neighborhood watch programs and other programs that provide critical information to communities served.
health care awareness program - provides critical information to communities served regarding health care options and other available free health services. Includes anti-malaria campaign and campaign to help stop the spread of the hiv/aids virus.
financial literacy program - provides information to communities served regarding financial literacy, predatory lending, pay-day loans and other potential financial pit-falls and services. Includes financial literacy seminars and workshops.
immigrant's rights programs - includes immigration crisis & counseling center to assist immigrants in applying for benefits under current uscis programs and regulations.
