Part of the program is to provide locally grown products. Senior lunch and meal program in which seniors participate in preparing a healthy lunch. The program also involves providing a healthy lunch to the poor and elderly clients in port richmond, mariners harbor and park hill. Total people served in the food program 43,259 (children 23,279, adults 11,836, elderly 8144). Summer reading, literacy and book distribution helping children build their own home libraries. Total of 610 books distributed. Wellness education included kids cooking classes, blood pressure screening, and referral and information. The wellness program had 120 participants.
