Mission: The mission of new city players is to stage exceptional classic and contemporary theatre that provides an emotional and transformative experience for every audience.
Programs: New city players' mission is to stage exceptional classic and contemporary theatre that provides an emotional and transformative experience for every audience members. The vision is to see the people in our city experience renewal through live theatre. Toward those ends, in 2017 new city players saw 2,100 people from the south florida community attend our 3 full productions and 7 community events called city speaks. We held a total of 36 performances. Our donation and sponsorship revenue totaled 46,500 while our ticketing revenue totaled just over 40,000. We continued our internship program giving 8 students professional production experience and training. We also launched our city speaks project, a semi-monthly gathering where people from our community share stories, speak truth, and listen to one another. Finally, new city players received the silver palm award for outstanding new theatre company.
